I was screaming to get Denilson and Bender off.
As soon as Chamack was on he came deeper and held it up to lay it off. Even the wife was telling Wenger to sort it lol
I wouldnt say Ipswich were the better team??? Long ball punts? Dont get me wrong they did a proper job on us, exactly like we did against the lower sides in the PL
We just dont know how to play against 10 men behind the ball then quick long *****.
Buy mertasacker, least he can head a ****ing ball.
I have no fears that we wont turn them over at our gaff but still.........at least the chelski fans can smile for a few days

Walcott is wasted on the wing, his finishing is fairly good and converts a good amount of clear chances he gets.
Apart from the defences problems we have, which i think could be sorted with a Tony Adams/ Martin Keown type centre back who will just sit there ready to kick the crap out of anybody who comes near. I think the fact that the strikers come deep leaving nobody in the box at the right time, because they spend most of the time passing around the box the strikers tend to hang around outside it waiting for a chance.
What happened to the days were we used to sprint out at a million miles an hour and score, haven't seen one of them goals for a long time. Putting Theo upfront would give us a good chance of breaking from deep.
If we don't win the league/carling cup it's time for a change in management, i think he's brainwashed these players into thinking they've played well when they haven't.
There was an after match report by Fabregas were he was implying that ipswich were playing the devils football by long balling it, and we were playing for good.

Started especially early this year. Me thinks some people are desperate, which means Cesc will want off, Arsenal will except a reduced bid.........you all know the rest

I had a little win on the footy this afternoon, thanks Notts F, classic 94th minute winner, so I'm feeling lucky.
The way I see this match is Grant knows he has gone after this game even though his employers have not told him otherwise, West Ham are pretty crap, players will be confused and unlikely to be that motivated, Arsenal are quality, so it screams 3-0, 4-0 to Arsenal 9/1 and 16/1 respectively.
Dip Yer Bread, PS Lewis stylee
Moan BZ20 style when it goes wrong

I thought we were in business to start with but the defence looks frail as usual.
Can MON save West Ham? i reckon but needs to come in now so he can buy

Seriously have yo noticed even when Bender is in space, they look away from him.
WTF was Denilson doing playing across the penalty area, so close to giving away

Schmichel impressed me last night, he had so many of his fathers mannerisms which I guess is going to be obvious as his father probably taught him all he knows but at times I could have been mistaken it was Peter, the way he struck his goal kicks, the way he came off his line and that save was fairly similar to Peter's against Rapid Vienna but not as outstanding.
Awesome!

Edit - must have a good memory:
"NOT WRIGHT, 1997: Arsene Wenger’s very first season in English football witnessed a bitter dispute between Ian Wright and Peter Schmeichel after the United keeper was alleged to have made racist comments to Arsenal’s black striker. In a game at Highbury on February 19, Wright then went in two-footed on Schmeichel, much to the fury of Ferguson, and the two clashed in the tunnel. The rift was smoothed over when they later reunited as pundits though."

Oh yes
And never will I forget the match against Liverpool in '89 when Michael Thomas ran through at the end and won us the title with a 2-0 victory

Which is why I get so annoyed with the current crop of cr4p that play for us when thinking back to what we used to have

Man United XI v Arsenal X (October 20, 1990)
David Seaman was the only player not to get involved in this 21-man brawl which began on the Old Trafford touchline as the bad blood between Winterburn and McClair resurfaced again - almost literally. After Winterburn went down under a challenge McClair and Denis Irwin appeared to kick the left-back as he lay on the ground. Cue: mayhem as every player (bar the Arsenal goalkeeper) got involved in the skirmish. Arsenal, who won the game 1-0 thanks to Anders Limpar's strike, fined manager George Graham and five players two weeks' wages and an FA commission fined both clubs £50,000. Worse still, the Gunners were deducted two league points and United one. Graham's side had the last laugh, however, celebrating their second title win in two years the following May with a 3-1 win over United at Highbury.
