The 2010-2011 Arsenal Thread
A thread for B2Z to moan
First up Ozil. Rumours are they are willing to except 12m for the lad.
I know it was the world cup but surely at 12m he is worth a bid. young and performed on the biggest stage. Better than diaby, denilson and rosicky imo
Another rumour is Subotic, Hugo Lloris and Melo could be on route. I think with these 3 we have a good chance.
Subotic is a very good CB. Lloris quality speaks for itself and Melo was imo one of Brazils best players at the WC
Any thoughts

I just hope Wenger doesn't come out with the same old story, the boys are good enough we have the mental strength etc.
Surely after 3-4 years of this he might have cottened on that they aren't and he spends a few pennies, otherwise we could lose out on the Champions League, and it will be down hill from there.

Cheers Dave
What a shocker today's game was! If Wenger seriously thinks we can win the title this year with that sort of performance he is even more of a loon than i've ever given him credit for
Arshavin might as well not have been on the pitch today, he doesn't look like he wants to be there any more and he was just plain lazy today. Diaby was his usual useless self and I wasn't too impressed with our new centre back but as the first game he needs another 5+ games to settle so hope he turns out good. As for Almunia and his near post give me strength, he must be one of the worst keepers in the Premiership.
So all in all looking up for the season then

Chamack looks like he has a nice touch and hopefully will grow in
Koscielny had a blinder imo. un lucky to be sent off. great positioning and won the headers.
Diaby, eboue didnt turn up. We know Arshavin has it so hopefully its just a short phase.
Walcott looked sharp and i thought Rosicky looked like the one we signed. wanted the ball and ran with it. happy with that
Almunia is just a ****
Wilshere is getting games
so i wasnt to bothered, i'll take a point at Anfield any season. if it was mid season we would have thought it a good result
Strong CB needed and Melo from Juve to stiffen up midfield. obviously Shawzer when he signs this week

I forgot to add i was over the moon with Walcott being played up front when he came on as i strongly believe he should be a striker and not a winger and so Wenger playing him there could mean he is ready to give him that chance
Rosicky looked sharp and played just how he used to when at his best cutting in and curling shots at goal which is exactly what we need.
Is Song injured as really missed him in midfield? Agree we need a defensive midfielder a centre back and a goalie more than anything.

Nasri looked good in middle also
Yep Cole should of gone. Unlucky though as him and Wilshere were having a great tussle in the middle. was bad in slow mo
If our boy went for hand ball should Ngog not of gone?
Think ref bottled it right at the end due to crowd. unlucky as though he had an alright game.
watching SSN in hope

That's 3 in a row. Maybe Arsenal can apply to join the French League now?

Chamacks Moroccan mate.
this new fella is a great back up player. national side, strong and wins high *****. Dont knock him yet. Has vermarlen been heard of before he moved?
If we buy 1 more defender,GK,and holding midfielder we have a good chance.

So no signings by Wenger then. There's a surprise So one free transfer and 2 minor fees for 2 defenders. Great business there Wenger and shows once again the b0ll0cks spoken at the end of the season about a big transfer kitty.
Another nothing season ahead as far as i'm concerned. Quite simply any decent players wont come to us due to the wage structure in place and wanting to pay them max £50k-£60k a week when they can get £80-£100k a week somewhere else.

When is Wenger going to realise this bloke is a waste of time:
http://www.skysports.com/story/0,195...363907,00.html
He spends more time injured during a season than fit to play He really needs some tougher players in the team, so many of the squad can't handle challenges in the Premiership.

im happy as i hate playing Bolton. Been good recently against them though.
Against better attack we would/should of been 2-3 down really
Considering sick note 1 & 2 were absent as well

Koscielny looks a liability at the moment. He was cr4p against Blackburn too. Hope he just needs to settle in.
Good results to beat both Blackburn and Bolton though as they are our 2 bogie teams who we struggle against. Arshavin should have scored a few yesterday and Vela I think should get more of a chance as he is one of our best finishers in front of goal!
Rosicky was looking superb again which is great as when he is at his best his passing and long range shooting make him one of out most dangerous players. I had thought his days were over but he is certainly coming back strong this season

I enjoyed that game tonight. And Vela proved me right again with 2 very well taken goals. How can that dummy Bendtner ever get picked ahead of him i'll never know.
Chamakh looked great tonight and so did Arshavin. Nasri once again worked his socks off and Fabregas played at his usual standard.
I prefer the line up tonight without having Van Persie or Bendtner even anywhere near the bench.
