11th May sounds good to me - I like the idea of a treck to the Beachy Head.

ScoobyK - I'll try to persuade Mike to get up and running now I know how easy it is.

Look forward to next meet.

Excellent, 11th May sounds good to us too....so here we go again, perhaps a little early, but gives us time to get everyone and other halves organised !!

Steve, yeah, sounds good doesn't it - start at Coopers, and have a nice drive over to Beachy head, either stop at the pub at the top, or as someone suggested on here a few days back, we could carry on down to Birling Gap. Either way it'll be a blast !

Ron, money to burn....well, I drive a Scooby !! Seriously, there are a few things I wanna do....and hopefully the car will have a few mods by the 11th ! Fancy fitting another Magnex M8 ??? Mail me if you can.

I'm up for the 11th of May. From Coopers up over Beachy Head is an excellent idea. If we post a new thread nearer the time as well we may be able to get some interest form further away.

G. If you want a hand fitting a back box then give us a shout. I did mine on my driveway. Because it slopes off steeply you can get under the car easily.

Nathan, cheers M8, I believe it's very simple and I should be able to sort within 15 mins....but experience and lack of skills tell me that I need to ensure I've someone with me that knows a little bit !

Thanks for the offer, will order the Zorst knowing there's someone there to help.

Oh, and I passed you Sunday night on the way to Hailsham, waved but no response...but then I was in my Vectra ! (which has now gone so I've only got my Scoob ;0) !!!).

DOH !

Thats two people who have seen me, I've got to open my eyes a bit more. Was I driving sensibly? I hope so

Monday night was manic, v.busy. Managed Tonbridge to Brasted Village, about 12 miles in around 8 minutes last night, not bad for a Pug 406

I was so ashamed (honoured?) at being the dirtiest car, I cleaned it on Sunday. Seriously, spoken to Mike tonight, hopefully will sign up to BBS soon.
Might be off to Scoobysport soon, to sample their wares (sorry REX). ScoobyK, fancy a jolly?

Steve

When do you fancy going to Scoobysport? Can I come?

Dates at Goodwood are for 2002, I must have been reminiscing when I typed the title!!! Sorry.

May 11th sounds excellent!

Anyone going to Culverwells open day on Saturday?

Scott, Goodwood is a track day - Krud can pass the details on 11th (or sooner I guess !!).

What's the event this Saturday at Robertsbridge then ?? - anything special there ?

Steve....yeah, definately up for it - now I'm not sure whether to order the Magnex or wait and go for SS with you....god I hate decisions sometimes ! What are you going to have fitted- just the BB ? I was actually thinking of a trip to Nottingham to TSL as they've several bits I'm keen on - just waiting for Trouser to email me back with a total package cost...will check SS to see if they can provide some bits as well and then I'll make a decision on what I'm having done.....bless the credit card !

Thanks Scott, and yes, I've the Prodrive as part of the PPP. You're suggestion on changing DP / CS - is that as well as the BB or instead of ???? - I presume you mean with the BB otherwise noise levels will be too much ? Why can't life be simple huh ?!

Ta M8.

Dowmpipe & Center instead of the BB.
You'll probably gain about 10-20BHP and torque/spool up will be better.
The Cost of a DP & CS isn't far off a Scoobysport Backbox either.

That way you gain power and noise, rather than just noise.

The Disadvantage being that you will have to swap the Downpipe for each MOT. But I'm sure spanner man LCGeezer will help u out.

......Sounding as if he knows what he is talking about....I think that Scoobyk's PPP would have already included a decat centre as part of the package, leaving just the downpipe to do.IMHO MY99 and MY00 all had this along with the BB, ECU and intercooler pipework

To throw a spanner into the works.

The C/S from Prodrive still has a resonator box AFAIK. Putting a Scoobysport C/S on removes this and increases noise. A full decat sounds gorgeous.

This has gone beyond the realms of my meagre understanding... !

It's a MY00 with PPP - I believe that means the usual engine upgrades, decat CS and BB. I'd prefer to keep the original DP as I don't want too many MOT probs next yr but would be keen for more of the Scooby rumble that I love so much...which is why I was going down the Mag route. Steve has thrown a trip to SS into the equation, so in simple terms, would putting a SS BB cause problems, or simply give me that deeper rumble ???????

Why is life so complicated...I think I'll sell my Scoob and get my Vectra back....NOT !

Thanks for the help so far...I won't even start mentioning the brakes / wheels / springs I'm thinking of !!

I await the next installment - oh, and hopefully whatever I do will be done by 11th May so I can get the opinions of the contributors above on what I actually have done !!

If you don't want to mess with the Downpipe (which is understandable), go for the Scoobysport.

If you want to save £100 go for the Magnex, they do a 6x4 Oval and a 3.5 round.

The Scoobysport fit's slightly closer to the body/bumper. Well mine did, but the Prodrive is the best fit of them all.

ScoobyK et al

Culverwells have undertaken some modernisation of their facilities and are opening a new car showroom on Saturday 13th. One (that's us) can view the range of cars and partake of refreshments. There is also a four-wheel-drive off-road experience to be had - no idea how good it is though. I will ring them and find out opening times. Invasion of the Eastbourne massive? We are planning a visit (kids permitting) and should be able to fit in with others if a group attendance is planned to sleepy Robertsbridge.

Let us know when ya gonna be in Robertsbridge and I'll see you there. Jo has booked me to look after Oliver at 0915 for an hour or 2, so the mornings probably not good.

ScoobyK:
ScoobySport visit - best day for me is a Saturday, maybe 20th this month?, but given enough warning, could make a week day. If we let them know we're coming, they may take us out in one of their prepared cars. I really just want to see what they can do for my car, brakes, suspension, exhaust! But then I'm testing a new STI on Friday, so may want to know what they can do for that instead - Still very keen to pop along!

Keith, more than welcome to join the rumble to SS. Let me know what day's best for you. Apologise to Julia for me not recognising her in the Forrester - I'll wave next time.

Culverwells - Saturday. I would be interested in meeting there on Saturday, have a proper look. Fairly flexible with time. A few of us turning up would wake Robertsbridge up!

Steve, any day's good for me apart from Sat !! I spoke to them today regarding the same as you, Zorst system, suspension, brakes, and turbo timer....definately going for the BB and TT for now and will make decision on brakes etc over the next few weeks.

Keen to get there asap, and they need about 5 days notice to book in so name your day !

As for the new STI....put it to the vote, but I say keep the P1 and spend a ££££££££ !! Seriously, the P1 is THE Scooby (exception being 22B)...don't get shot for the STI (not until I get mine next year anyway!!!)

So, pick a weekday (if you can) that's good for you and give me a call or TXT tmw and I'll whack it in the diary...still no sign of Mike on here !!

Oh yes!!!!

Regarding Culverwells, looks like afternoon would suit most of us that can go (you, me, Scott and ScoobyK, I think)? If we said two'ish, then ScoobyK could pop up when he's free?
