Dad can't drive.

Mum once had a Dolomite Sprint when I was younger though

She must have bought it by mistake though, because it was the only highlight in an otherwise tragic motoring history

Vauxhaul Cavalier GSI, Rover Vitesse, Toyota Supra, V12 Jags, BMW 750, Saab 900 turbo, Saab Carlsson, BMW 328 AC Schnitzer, Audi S4, and now an Audi RS4 Avant and a Range Rover Sport. (oh and quite a few in between that I've forgotten).
He loves his cars, I'm a smidge jealous of the RS4!

Forgot to add, my dad only had five cars that were his but bought and sold loads, him and my uncle spent years trading cars, always a different old banger getting the treatment, used to root out change from under the seats.

No idea which one was the good one though

When i was about 15/16, he bought a brand new AX GT though, he was king of the street

Then: silver Honda S800 coupé like this one. The Honda dealer even threw in a perspex fake bonnet that they had used in the showroom to highlight the jewel-like engine.

Now: this Austin Healey 100/6:

Sadly my dad died at the age of 44, 18 yrs ago now .... I always wonder what RS would be in his garage now.
It's great that he enjoyed his time. Better to burn out than to fade away.

My dad had a 1.6 Capri when they were new. I had no idea what bhp meant as a kid so didn't know it had a measly 75bhp!

He then had the "first ever XR3 registered in Scotland", which he seemed dead proud of lol!

Moved on to Beemers. Had a 328 in the early 90s, which was a good car with great low down power. Now has a 3.0 diesel BMW X5, which isn't really my cuppa. Also seems to have lost interest in driving!

The old man had a few jag's and daimlers.

The best car he bought was an MVS Venturi, looked amazing in black and used to spit flames on the over run. I had a video of it on top gear back in the day, 1992 I think he bought it.

pictures don't do it justice

My brother had a 1998 Venturi 300 Atlantique for many years. Magnificent car (when it worked):
