Thanks. No it doesn't. I had to cut away the rubber pad and then stuck it on with blue tack. Grips really well with no slipping at all.

It is a Tom Tom 720 with the standard desk top cradle that comes with it. I bought a flush fitting cig lighter to female usb adaptor, a right angled usb to female usb cable and connected that to the desk top cable. I had to pull out the dash which was very easy and that was it. Around £12 all round and no wires cut/soldered etc. and all totally removable.

It is a tight fit but the ash tray flap closes and everything is concealed, making it look a lot tidier than with the suction cap.
Very neat job.
