I drove a mates Focus Rs and I can't identify with any of what you are saying. Both me and the other half loved the seating position and the seats. He's 5'11 and I'm 5 foot. It's nothing like a standard focus and felt much more luxurious than my scoob. Although I prefer the 4WD of the scoob and the saloon bodystyle, I wouldn't take anything away from the Focus. It's a nice car and runs rings around the mark 1 FRS.

I have to agree with the original post!
Seats may be adjustable...but why does the factory set them so high?? I am 6'4" and have the same Recaro seats in my GC8, lowered to the floor...feels great!
Back on track: The Ford is lacking in feedback. AGREED!
Lowering the electrical assistance on the steering doesn't increase feel, it just makes the wheel harder to turn.
Did I mention that I agree? Many Subarus, owned and driven, have spoiled me. Almost any other car feels lifeless and numb to drive....there is still something "raw" and direct about Subarus, even in the latest years more refined models.
