The trick is to let it rev but don't put it under load ie holding boost or heavy accelerating up hills and the like. As your milage increases, increase the revs too. It needs to rev to run in properly, don't baby it too much.

Aye most piston rings need revving to 5000 under hard load to seal (which seems wrong) lol but says on the pack lol.

Worst thing you can do is baby it, needs revving but not under boost (a little boost is good, a lot of boost early on is bad).

It's what i'll do more of now I think, scary business, as the "Blow up" is always in the back of your mind - and as you say being too gentle will not help things progress and bed it all in properly, I don't think the race bearings take much running in anyway (Dylan's good choice of bits !)

He is using cheap mineral oil. Same as what I used in my red Wrx.

When you said you were trucking I was expecting you to be here for an oil change this weekend!!!

80 miles??? I'll see you next January at this rate lol. It's nice to see it on your drive and not in my garage Si.

Yeah won't be long now - the worrying bit is all the time, effort and money that's gone into it a couple of weeks and I'll be contacting Bob for the tweek.

I'm still in the "running in" mode at the moment, I'll be back up to Bob Rawle for a map tweek soon - so I'll post up the new figures then, only problem is as it's an Automatic Bob could not do his "Delta Dash" figures for me - My first remap with the car as it was, was a Bob guesstimate of "knocking on the door of 300bhp" - will be interesting to see what he can with the new version
