Have you changed the map sensor as mine did this Wheb I wired the map sensor wrong (would run ok on tick over, but as soon as you touch the throttle it would die)

Engine pretty much sorted. ECU, FMIC and Lambda to come and a little set up by Simon and I'll be happy with that for now.

Turbo blanket on...

Air inlet finished...

Does anyone know what this plug feeds?? Its inbetween boost valve and brake servo??
Thanks...

Hi mate wet and dark but no prob just been out to measure.

35" wide, 25" front to back and 11" drop. I used some B&Q alloy angled section to bolt together. Hope that helps and goodluck.

Hi guys, fitted lambda today and she runs ok. Lots of smoke from running rich but Ill deal with that when I fit ecu. Two little probs, I changed a rocker gasket and used 3bond sealant but didnt change the half moons. Seems like a lot of oil is coming from that cam area. Is it essential that these are changed for new ones? Also after running for 10 mins the bottom hose was still cold. I had both caps open and tried squeezing hoses but no joy? Any tips?? Thanks

Best of luck and will be following this but please more wider angled pics

I've got 1mm and I'm now thinking it's too thin! On the upside tho I bought a brand new true 3inch 1 piece japspeed exhaust yesterday off eBay which only cost me £63 off eBay and I "think" I'm under 96db which I was aiming for so I can use the car on all tracks in the country but I'm going to get the db checked asap just to be sure but it's less than half the noise of my old exhaust which is a good start!

Quick question for you tho Tony.... How did you sort out the rear exhaust mounts?as obviously I lost one when I chopped the boot floor out and the other is know behind the diffuser!lol did you just cut a hole in the side of it for the chassis leg mount and make your own bracket for the wheel well mount? If you've got any pics that would be a great help!

Yeah pain that was. I've cut a hole in the difuser for the exhaust mounting bracket. It used to mount on 2 hangers but as you know that cant happen. I've checked it over and its very secure. If not I'll make another mount.

Hi guys, started on interior now, cage brackets made and ready to weld in. Dash out and striped off heater matrix, aircon and soundproofing all gone.

As I've removed the heater I assume I can just join up the water hoses?? Thanks guys.

Yes just bridge the hoses off bud,I would suggest against loosing the fan and heater matrix as you will steam up like he'll especially if it rains and don't forget you cant open windows when on track! I asked this question a while ago when I stripped mine and was told It would be stupid to take the heating out because of the problem of steaming up!!

Other than that how have you been getting on?got any rough ideas when it will be finished?

Was gonna go down the road of twin dash fans and that stuff you can rub on the windscreen to stop it misting. What you think bud?

Make your own heater... Rule Bilge Pump:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-RULE-L...item33694e422d

Seems there are a few rally cars and track cars using this, light compared to the standard fans and dont use as much power....

I'm thinking about going the above route on my car, as I know how bad the windows steam up (not so bad now ive coated the window with rain X anti fog stuff), but still needs a bit of heat to clear them properly.

What I was thinking about is getting something like an old oil cooler radiator and making a custom box that encases one end that goes down to a cirlce to mount the fan bit that will suck warm air through the radiator, and blow it out onto the windscreen.

Would connect the two heater hoses (input and output) into the radiator....

Not a bad idea that bud! Tony for know tho until you have something else sorted I would leave it in place, all I did was remove the centre box which houses the air con rad and split it open and take out that rad and then put the empty casing back on!
