As it is for uterine, may I ask if she is undergoing therapy as part of a clinical trial?

Chip, sorry to hear about your wife. My dad had radiotherapy every day for 6 weeks, 6 years ago this year.
She will have days where she is to the point of absolute exhaustion, feeling sick and throughly down. But it will pass - honest!
Lots of advice on here re the side effects etc, so I thought i'd add the following:
Dont let her use perfumed soaps etc whilst she is having the radio - the skin can react like a giant burn and can be really sore - particualrly as the treatment progresses. The 'Simple' range is unperfumed and is great stuff - you can get it in Boots etc. E45 cream on the area can help too.
Loose clothing made of cotton or silk to help avoid friction on the area helps.
And dont let her expose the area to the sun during treatment or for a year after.. factor 50 all the way after that
