Would a CDB insert into a SCDB make for a block as strong as a original CDB?

The simple literal answer is No.
Two different materials.

However Alyns solution posted is way more than strong enough and a no brainer if you are going down the 2.5 road.
AS Performance and SMG/Roland Alsop are the only two people would let machine a subaru block of mine.

the work can be sorted on any 4cyl EJ20, EJ22 or EJ25 open or semi-closed block as well as the 6cyl EG33 & EZ30 engines

we also cover various Focus RS, Vauxhall, Suzuki, Volvo 5cyl, etc. applications

prices vary dependant on the exact block and works required - contact the office direct for a full quote

to be pedantic what your after doesn't exist - you want an EJ20 CDB.......

i will most likely have one or two that can be supplied bare or fully machined, soda blasted, etc depending on what you want to pay as well as any components, gaskets, etc.............

best contact the office direct
