As much as I'm not a fan of Gordon Brown, I actually felt pitty for him over this. I, like him have to deal with the public and live in fear of the day a customer hears what I actually think of them. He's only human.

Not reading the five pages, but I think he should never have appoligised it was his opinion. We all hate the imagration issue but we live and let live that what seperates us from the biggots, he was trying to make the point that we can emigrate to canada austrilia usa etc where we would be accepted. Its a two way street. . I have one question to all ? if you feel you have been poorer off under a labour government well vote a other way. I however am a hard working family man and i have never had it so good. He will get my vote.

She seemed decent enough lady saying something things many would understand and agree with. The dismissive response for an ordinary decent voter is TYPICAL of the mob in power. His instinct was to call her a BIGOT after humouring her (and to her face) FFS ! The cat is truly out the bag. Tw@t. Bye.

I wonder if the sound guy got his radio mic pack back? If not the £300 lost is cheap to get rid of that numptie. There's lots of tales of faux pas with radio mics by presenters, but that one should get a BAFTA!

I wonder if Rupert Murdoch is laughing as much as I am every time I see this repeated on the telly. If the mic had been BBC property would we have ever known what Brown had to say in his limo? I suspect not.
News International (the Sun etc.) microphone.......oh dear.
Pure comedy though, kind of a bit like the humour of 'The Office'.

You would put a positive spin on it if Brown was exposed as a kiddie-fiddler.

They control, or rather mismanage the purse strings mate - not HSBC. They have never had so much tax money and they just p it up the wall, run out, and devise sneaky ways to get more. I'm SICK of them - burning it might be more efficient use of it!!

I think it shows Browns contempt for the voting public, and the Labour voting public at that

We see the real Brown at last.

I heard that Gordon want's to focus on the key issue of the economy in the debate tonight. I think it's more important that we focus on the key issue of the character of someone who want's to govern the country...

Despite the fact that what he said in the car was in private, it still reveals so much about the way he thinks and he was also foolish enough to let it be heard in public.

It has to be damaging but it is surprising how sometimes a problem like that can promote sympathy too.

The Prince of Darkness amd Millimetre will be rubbing their hands alright!

To be fair to Brown, most of the leaders of the parties will have said similar things about voters. The silly thing is getting caught, and then going on about it. I'm happy about his gaff, as I really don't want him back in power.

Issue is, who should replace him....I don't see any good options at the moment. Although I do salute the person who changed his name to "none of the above", and is going to stand in the elections. He might just get in

Sadly immigration is (apparently) one of the major issues for the British people. The current Government has had a policy of letting as many in as possible to try and change the social standing of Britain. They felt that more immigrants would mean a safe Government for Labour in the long term.
We now have the most densly populated country in Europe.

Its typical of this Government that if you dont agree with its policies you become a biggot. You only have to look at Hariet Harmens plans to see the way it will go if they have another five years.

Had it been David Cameron that was caught making the same comment I suspect that there would be a thread titled "Eton toff shows that he's out of touch with the ordinary voter and unfit to be PM". I wonder who would have started it?

Replace "Eton toff" with "Gordon Brown" and it's a "nothing thread" .Why the difference?

Time for Brown to look for another job...who would employ him though?

If he does lose the leadership I think we expect to see him with a very well paid sinecure with those nice chaps over the water.
