As with most Politicians I consider it's Gordon Brown himself that's the bigot.

"La, la la I'm not listening."

The strangest thing is that the actual exchange with the woman was fine, no idea why he thought it was a disaster.

Haha and so the back tracking begins

1324: A political spokesman for the prime minister said: "Gordon has apologised to Mrs Duffy personally by phone. He does not think that she is bigoted. He was letting off steam in the car after a difficult conversation. But this is exactly the sort of conversation that is important in an election campaign and which he will continue to have with voters."
Obviously MP's agree immigration is not top of the list of things to talk about too....
1320: Labour minister Joan Ruddock says she is sure the prime minister will be "mortified". He really gave Gillian Duffy time and courtesy, she says. It was "unfortunate" she turned to immigration, Ms Ruddock adds.

Reminded me of the bit at the end of the film, "The Dead Zone" when the Christopher Walken character tries to assassinate the US Senator, who to defend himself holds a baby in front of him.

Brown really is King ****!

What is worrying is that he is asking his lackies (in the back of the car) why he was put in a room with that woman - effectivly not just a lapdog who will nod and clap at everything he says - he got a genuine memeber of the public, love her or hate her she had the right to ask.

This really sums up NL and Brown for me - i hope he looses big time he is a parasite

Where is Lewis? I need somebody to explain to me how someone as perfect as Brown could do something like this. Maybe it is a setup by M.I.5 (who are of course in the pocket of the Tories) and involves some top quality ventriloquism. I can see the dummy at any rate.

Shame as Britain will really die if Cameron gets in. Britains in an ok shape under brown, Yes we have issues but under Cameron it will be a lot worse.

The Tories destroyed Scotlands industry the last time, that must never happen again.

lol I agree Paul, they cant handle it when they just meet someone they know nothing about. Yesterday he was walking through an Asda, sees a guy with a fashionable shirt on with a 4 on it and says "nice to meet you, No4, you play rugby?".... Oh good guess on a complete random stranger Gordon! lol

They have all been caught out by "real" people recently, but his interview on the radio afterwards says it all about him. He denys blaming "Sue", says thats not what he meant, and that he didnt have time to discuss her question. Then makes out that she was being in some way racist by complaining about eastern europeans..... Hmmm. Just take the blame eh !
