Just to give you an idea of some of the work involved, here are some pictures of a bare shell rebuild and spray job i undertook a couple of years ago, although it was an ealry classic WRX using a MY00 turbo as a donor, took around 3-4 weeks juggling my day job on top.

I quite agree with the guys on here, but if this lad wants to go for it, then do so, and get some photo's up of your progress, its rewarding when you've done it properly and get it right!
