Get The Champagne Out!

What you read is most probably fiction regarding the SAS/special forces etc. If they were that clever Bin Laden would'nt be still running around with impunity. Mind you he's probably living in Burnley, Lancashire in a council house living on benefit, subsidised by us.
Bin Laden was all set to be captured by our special forces who had him trapped but they were stopped by the American generals from doing it because they wanted the glory of doing it themselves. As it happened they reacted too slowly and they let him get away! Bush of course had a close family business relationship with the Bin Ladens! After the Twin Towers debacle, there was only one aircraft allowed to fly around the USA and that was picking up various members of the Bin Laden family!
I have a great respect for the special forces' abilities and I can assure you, you are greatly mistaken in denigrating their abilities.

Don't forget, the US Rangers and Delta's got their @rses kicked in Somalia, and they had helicopter gunships gallore.
The British government think they can fight a credit crunch war, if the Yanks couldn't do it with the resources at their disposal, how can the Brits do it with a fleet of ****** Landrovers?
You have been reading too many comic books, this lot have been in credit crunch for an eternity, any infidel will leave in a body bag, we have all seen it on the news.
We should leave them to it, bring the troops abroad home and kick the scumbags that call themselves British out of the UK and back to these badlands where they can worship their god as they so wish.

"On October 3, 1993, a mission involving scores of U.S. Special Operations forces went astray when one of their Blackhawk helicopters was shot down over Mogadishu, the capital of Somalia. Outnumbered 10 to 1, the U.S. forces escaped with 18 killed while hundreds of Somalis died."
That was a mess, yet their training proved itself yet again to get them out of a terrible situation.
Your attitude seems to be one of "lets not get involved because we have no chance anyway". That's not the way we became the power we were and it's not the way to go on. I wonder if the ***** would have been defeated in WW2 with that attitude.
If these ships are being attacked something needs to be done about it. Do you have any ideas about what that could be?

I suppose you're leaving the Taliban out of this? Who are probably one of the toughest forces of their kind. Special Forces seem to be managing ok out there, don't they? You seem to be pretty negative on their abilities, but at least engage with reality; here's a quote from a news report regarding US Special Forces in Somalia -

You say special forces training got the US out of a terrible situation, and that was very true, but what did they achieve? I'll tell you what they achieved........nothing.
My view is the b@stards are living amongst us in the UK, you don't need to send an army to Afganistan.
I never thought i would see the day that people claiming to be British would stand on our streets abusing our troops. The war is here on our own soil and it will have to be fought on our streets sooner or later.

Like i've already said, we have been in Afganistan for nine years and we are getting nowhere and achieved nothing. Alexander of Macedonia came unstuck in this region and he was the greatest soldier and leader of men the world has ever seen.
