+1 as Ive started on Hard and only aid I changed was gears to auto and use the racing line marker for the praccy sessions only and thats tough enough in the Force India. Low speed corners too heavy and your facing the other way. Very hard if not impossible to catch a spin either which is annoying.

I've just been reading the codemaster forum, apparantly the AI in races in your career dont have the full fuel load taken into account, where as you do, so they are unrealisticly fast, especially in a straight line

The only fix is to turn fuel sim off to make it even

Seems there are LOADS of bugs for this game

Laso in practise and qualifying, the cars you see going round the track arent setting times, their just there for visual effects

Ye Impossible to catch, think I've caught one so far. I use the same aids as you, gears in auto and racing line on for practise till I get used to the track

Just read the post again which I replied to on the last page, he doesnt mention the AI difficulty so if its on easy or medium(dont know if you get a medium) I will believe you, anything else and your a liar

And another thing, can anyone do the starts ? I'm playing on professional and I can keep up with them for like 2 seconds then its like they hit the NOS and their away ? Anyone else get this ?

Picked this up today.

Switched off all aids apart from the racing line and started practiceing, **** its hard!

Managed to qualify 4th, I was happy, nearly broke the controller though.

7 laps in to the 10 lap race and I'm leading, I'm proper feeling the pressure, **** this is hard!
Missus comes in and starts asking me FOOKING STUPID QUESTIONS ABOUT FOOKING STEEL AND ALLOY
I try to ignore, FOOOOOOOK, I'm off, and so is my front wing.

Baaaastard

Finished 16th

I mean't commentary from your engineer. And yes no aids with a G25 n pedals it makes such a difference. I play GTR2 / evo constantly, where I usually win against the best players who are online though. GTR is alot harder than this, I guess that experience helped me win

Singapore I did a 1.44 first try. Quite a few errors though.

I took a quick screen shot of my qualify time when i managed 4th, but looking at it now, it does not show the S3 time on it.

Is it a bug?

I can remember the engineer telling me i was loosing time in sector 3.

That was whatever the first race is in career mode.

Hard work with all the assists off apart from the racing line (forgive me but i did not know the track)

Went online after the race, and switched a few assists on as i was giving myself a rage induced heart attack.

Settled on these

Traction control = medium
Racing line = always
ABS = on

The rest i left off, it seams a LOT more easier, wont two MP races
Need to learn the tracks properly though, did my second race`s practise session in the wet, graphics were tidy!

It's because you didn't complete the lap and went in to the pits, which is why it gives your location as pit.

It shows your best time next to your name - which could have been set on any lap you have completed. The gap is the difference between the P1 driver's best and your own. The S1, S2 and S3 are the sector times for the current lap.

Hmmmmm, I'd say the Fanatec 911 Turbo S is the baby to have. Not cheap but it has the added bonus of working with the PC, PS3 and the 360...

Good luck

i love this game! Been moving house this weekend so have't had much time to play. I'm playing career mode and have it set to the hardest setting. Managing to beat my team mate in the Lotus quite easily and finishing around 15th-12th in the first few races.
Oh, note to Bioforger - once I get online again, I will kick your backside! That is a promise!

Add me - mr chrissy p

Right, got it for PC. From the screenshots I was expecting the graphics to be much better than this?! Everything maxed out @ 1680x1050.
Hadn't used my momo racing wheel for ages and I'm not sure it's lack of use has done it any good. Had to pump the peddles a bit just to get them registering the full range of movement.
I prefer manual gears in racing games but as I kept damaging the engine by not changing quick enough (I thought these things had rev limiters..) I switched it over to auto gear and the computer still damages the engine, not as much/quick as I do but !?!

You really have to anticipate the gear changes as the engines have very narrow power bounds but rev very quickly. I just love how realistic it appears to be. Most rewarding racing game I have played....and I thought FM3 was good! It really rewards the precise application of the controls. If you drive like a tit, you

So sad but I can't wait till this weekend when the mrs is working nights and I have internet again!

I think my xbox is cheating ........ I am in career mode, with the Williams, managed to get into 1st pulled a gap of nearly two seconds then had to pit....

Came out 12th, initially thought ok others still need to pit, only to find out I got as far as 7th and that was it. No errors to speak of and lap times about the same as leaders so how the hell did that happen??? hhhmmmm

Couple of other things too, most bit stops the bloody lolly pop man holds me there while cars come down the pit lane, whats that all about, happens every dam bit stop?!?!?

Also, what are the "ghost" cars about on the track, which you seem to be able to drive through?
