and just hope your rear passengers are not bothered about losing thier teeth if you ever have a front impact, as that will be the first thing to hit the harness bar!! lol.

Also, harnesses without a roll cage is really frowned upon in america, as if the roof caves in, your not free to slide/move/dodge as it caves in, so your head takes the full force.

Not sure how true that would be in every case, but alas, something to consider.

And personally, i run the standard belts with my Bride's on road and track. The seats hold me in place, so no need for harnesses.

In a serious accident that harness bar will kill anyone sat in the back. I know you haven't got one but its the same for roll cages - without harnesses and helmets a cage is more likely to kill you that anything else.

Looks cool for sure, but FFS take it off when you've got the kids with you.

Okay guys, what are your thoughts.

Im looking at selling my single Recaro Pro Racer SPA signed by Marcus Gronholm.

And replacing both front seats with a pair of these. Prodrive edition Sparco's.

What would you do?
Im thinking Prodrive seats in Prodrive edition bugeye and more user friendly on the road. But my seat is quite rare, very expensive and signed personally by Marcus.

The dilema?

Don't you guys with the buckets seats having pronounced helmet bolsters (not sure what these are called) find they obstruct visibility in a road car? I would find it impossible to drive with them.

Well guys, the Recaro is off to a new home soon. I hope its new owner loves it the way i do. I collected a pair of Prodrive Sparcos today. Theyre in very nice condition, the Passenger is stock Pro WRC in GRP weighing in at 7.9kg, the drivers one is a Pro WRC Carbon weighing 6.5kg.

I know i'll miss the Recaro like mad but i think these will look awesome in the Prodrive edition whip

Be nice if i can track down another carbon one to make a perfect pair mate.

Theyre are nice, but nowhere near the build quality of my Recaro SPA. The GRP one retails for $799 and the carbon one was $1900. The carbon one does feel noticeably lighter than the GRP.

Pics as promised.

Sorry for the photos, flash plays havoc with low light and dark objects. They look nice in the flesh and feel quite comfy. Only a journey will tell lol.

New steering wheel setup should be here in the coming weeks. These jobs are just tiding me over at the mo till i can get the final bits to drop the motor back in. ("tick tock" "tick tock" lol)

They are quite a bit lower, but there is also a degree of height adjustment on the side-mounts if you are a short-****

I love mine, but at 13.5 stone I think I am on the limit size-wise to be able to fit in these

Hard to say really mate as I've not gone from stock seats to these. My Recaro was much lower than these. But then as Jon said there is a lot of adjustment on the sideframes. They're also cut quite wide IMO and are roomy around the crown jewel area making these a very suitable road/race seat. A LOT more padding than the Recaro too. Build quality isn't a patch on the Recaro but then these are half the price.

All in I'm very pleased with these so far. They look very nice, reasonably light and comfortable.
