Aftermarket Bucket seats - lets see them!

Another Prodive Sparco owner here. Must say, they're amongst the most comfortable buckets I've driven in, and this is my daily - so both long and short journeys.
Not for those who like their food though as they are pretty narrow. For me, they're a perfect fit, nice and snug, but I know a lot of friends who actually cant fit in them. It's nice, because it also means I have a valid excuse when they ask to drive it and i say no
6 point OMP harnesses are also good, though for day to day use I only use 4 points. To the poster who asked if they're suitable for day to day use, the absolutely are, just takes a little bit longer to out on. Now passengers, that's a whole other story! As my wife is usually the person in the passenger seat, the harness is sized for her... And she's quite small. Get a passenger who's bigger, and never used proper harnesses before and it will take a fair bit longer to get going.
As driver though, it actually doesn't take that much longer to put on when you get used to them, and you certainly fell a lot more secure. I don't like getting into normal seats with three point belts, way to much movement!

Any info would be good
Type - Sparco Pro ADV (5 Harness Holes)
Where from - Demon Tweeks
Size 61 cm wide at headrest, 48 cm wide middle of back/kidneys 94 cm high 58 cm seat base (front to rear)
How they are mounted - Subaru seat base.
Price - £359
Weight - 11kg (approx)
FIA approved - Yes
The extended head rest was a pain for driving on public roads, but for competition purposes the seat was superb.
Fortunately the car did very low miles per annum (1,000).
Looking into doing this soon, would be nice to see whats about
Cheers

fmp is alluding to the fact that "if you have to ask you will never know"...which means he (and everyone else that knows about Bride), is\are cooler than you because he knew about Bride and you didn't...
However outside the school playground all you need is Google to stay hip

Excellent. Are those Sparco side mounts and judging by the last pic it is mounted directly to the OE rails?
Did you have to modify the rails at all?
I was thinking of doing it this way, fitting the seats for competition but refitting the OE seat (and sliders) for day to day.
Is that possible the way you have done it?
Cheers, very informative

Yes

No, straight swop - but we bolted the seat runners to the rails so that the seat would not slide (but this was a nut/bolt fix so was adjustable).

Yes it can be done, but as the car was used for hillclimbs/sprints we decided to have seat bolted into position (whilest keeping the adjustment arm "thingy").
