Haha this is the one thing that's putting me off, if I got it and I wanted a softer ride would it be easier swapping the springs or buying tyres?? Hmm

And that classic is lovely ^^

Ye that's why it has the blob lights etc.. Think it's on a y plate but has had A lot of owners and is hard to sell on were as the ra will be a lot easier I think. I think the classic looks and drives better too, my old v3 Sti was a leaps and bounds ahead of my bugeye..

ive had this problem with the integra...the tyres were like licks of paint on the rims lol. i ended up getting a smaller rim (17" down to 16") and putting a deeper tyre on. its was much better but then i came across some orignal integra rims which were 15"'s. so i banged them on with an even deeper tyre and it was just right.

the problem is with large rims and shallow tyres is that the suspension takes all the punshment cos theres no cushion in the tyre. god help u if you hit a pot hole....new rim if not suspension damage..also has he changed the struts

Yes, if its not got it on its just a normal WRX which its looking like it is tbh because if its a non STI RA it should have black mirrors and door handles too plus wind down windows, no central locking or ABS and have 5 injectors plus a closed deck block

You would be mad to swap your car for a normal WRX tbh fella, just sell yours and buy a proper STI Type RA

Well i went and done it after an hour or more walking round and looking at both cars.. One thing I will say is that the performance is silly.. Compared
to my old red top sti v3 it's a fair bit quicker.. It has got quite a harsh ride but nothing I couldn't live with.. After havin a few test drives the gearbox clutch just basically everything felt tighter and smoother than it did in mine. Short ratio box sits at 80 at 3.5k. I did notice the boost comes in late compared to my other cars about 3.5k but that's probably due to the big turbo, fmic. Gotta say I am happy of the decision and to top it off had a little play with a r35 on the way back which got surprised a bit on the mway. Got a thumbs up and a wave anyway! Still not sure if it's an ra the lad was adamant it was but hey ho can't wait to enjoy it

It's a WRX RA, not STI RA. There are differences. As i found out the other day.

I'd of taken the classic too.

Mine is a WRX RA the STI RA's had more on and a roof flap but the non STI cars are very bare with black door handles, mirrors no side skirts or rear spats, wind up windows etc etc so its not got a roof flap so that rules out STI RA, it could of had a full re-spary with skirts added but the aerial should be on the A-pillar but its not and if its not got intercooler waterspray then its def not a RA.

Well as long as he is happy with the swap good luck to him

Ah, i thought the aerial a-pillar was something on the STi, not WRX. That's that cleared up then.

Why whats the spec of the terzo? Thought its only putting out 280 bhp roughly?? Like i said its a nice car but at that mileage your starting to worry i think, plus it would of been very hard to move on at a later date..
