Fastest 1/4 mile was 13.1 at 104. Car was a STI 3 Type RA, with just a De-Cat.

I found it difficult to launch while trying to be mechanically sympathetic, it resulted in getting a weak 60ft time of 2.05 seconds (DCCD fully open)....

After your first run you just wanna go again, it's very addictive. I ended up doing about 6 runs.

I want to go more regularly but just scared of breaking the box...

Its a good experience and a great feeling if you get a decent launch.

Even when your not driving, but just watching some of the machinery on show, its a Good experience.

I went to Santa Pod and just watching some of the bikes that ran is .

Their times were amazing, some getting 9 second 1/4's....

And the day I went the Jet-car was running

Did a 13.8 @ Santa Pod in our Evo2. Its a great feeling, especially when you pip the other guy at the post. I raced a kit car, which was a very close 2nd. Cant explain the feeling of being able to cane it in every gear (except 5th, lol) without the worry of something pulling out infront of you.

Definately got the bug and would do it again!

Thanks, mate, it is having the bottom end done in a few weeks, better cams, bigger injectors, and running 1.9 peak boost, so will have another go to see the differnce, then hopefully a fuel system and big turbo, the car weighs 1475 kg, nothing is taken out

Impressive

Should be seeing 11's at full weight when complete?

Is the standard Gearbox strong enough, or will you uprate the gearset?

The gearbox is meant to be very good, but went to donno a couple of weeks ago and knackered 5th, its in at the mo having a new gearbox fitted, i put the gears in very fast and must of been too much, its done 22.000 on it with about 2 sprints 2x trackdays and around 30 quarter of a mile times so not too bad

11.1 @ 128mph at Elvington (wet)
11.2 @ 126mph at Santa pod (wrong reve limit set)

MY00 Classic wagon, that looks pretty subtle on the outside IMO, inside the engine bay is a different story. 2.33, GT35/42, PPG Dogbox, etc, etc, etc, etc.

**** knows what the M3 will do, feels quick and smooth, but not as quick as my Suabru , no doubt will try it once the season starts, just for fun mind .

Sounds Painful for your wallet....

Sounds like it lasted quite well. Much better than my RA, been through 3 boxes in one year, and haven't even had a trackday!!

Saving for a PPG though...

Yes it is the fastest time for a wagon at present in the UK. It will do a 10, for sure, the 11.1 was in the wet, the first run in the dry on the same day, i broke the 3rd box in 2 months.

The performance for everyday work is too you really have to have your witts about you.

P20SPD - have seen your wagon a few times, looks great and has stunning performance, well done

Evo north - sounds like yours will be a bit of an animal when it's all finished!!

My fully loaded (big box in the boot full of speakers) Bugeye WRX done a 13.7. Full 2.5" decat, EcuTEK3, STi8 TMIC and a slipping clutch. Made me pretty chuffed!!

Got a TD05 16G, pink injectors, Walbro and wrapped & ported OEM headers to go on soon, will see what happens with that little lot after Mr Rawle has worked his magic again.

Speakers are now in the bin (finally grown up) so should save a few stone in weight.

Also killed my gearbox last Christmas and have a P1 box fitted so hopefully should help a bit.

I had an STi V Classic with a Garrett, 2.33l engine and PAR/Quaife drivetrain.

It produced 556bhp on the engine dyno, and 460bhp at the wheels at Subaru Manchester at 5,500rpm before the wheels started slipping in blue tyre smoke . Peak power was at least another 1,500rpm higher up.

My best quarter time was 11.7s as I am a rubbish quarter driver.

P20PSD got in it after some modifications (which were likely to make it more laggy and so slower) and around the same power and got as low as 10.4s.

Just goes to show - powerful does not always equal fast - even though my 60ft times were always very good.
