It is my understanding that Exedy are going to cease selling their clutches as separate parts. I.E.: up to now, you can buy just the pressure plate or just the friction disc or obviously just the release bearing.

I have been told that some ' internet ' sellers were buying just the pressure plate [ that will arrive in an Exedy branded box ] and then fitting cheapo friction discs and Chinese branded release bearings.

Then when it appears in an advert there is an Exedy box to give you the comfort but in fact possibly only one part is Exedy [ if you are lucky ]

It seems that a number of suppliers have had their trade status accounts cancelled by Exedy because of this practice and Exedy from soon onwards will only sell a genuine 3 parts set.

I believe that Exedy are as hacked off as we all are about this.

I am not aware of an ' Anti judder ' option being available. But I don't buy off Exedy in the UK anyway.

We continue to have at least a 98% success rate for no judder, no slip for the APi uprated version.

Agreed, will be better when they stop selling parts of the kits for people b@astardise the Exedy brand.

As an official Exedy UK stockist, I can confirm that Exedy do indeed do a clutch kit with an anti-judder friction plate, which is the one we supply.

We only sell genuine complete clutch kits supplied directly by Exedy UK

It's my understanding, having asked, that there is an anti judder version of the race series but not of the road going versions......
