afternoon fellas just had a fone call about my car rear main oil seal is fine so the engine has now gotta be removed and stripped to find what the problem is lol what a nightmare

 

why aint u guys going to the fast show first weekend i have been able to get to one of your meets and you aint going

Has anyone got a 4 pot WRX driverside front caliper (01 Bugeye WRX). I can have / buy.
I've just changed my 4 discs and the bottom bolt into the caliper has stripped.

Gutted

 

if you struggle to get a used one I know where you can get a recon for approx £65g

im havin loads of probs with my brakes thought I had it sorted then the bleed nipple snapped off doh!

Looks like I'm not the only one fighting with brakes then!

Got my caliper stripped down and rebuilt, and refitted. Not bled properly though as the brakes are spongey as, well, sponge.

Also, can't change my discs as can't get the goddamn caliper braket off! Not impressed :[

I know the feeling. Back discs worn so thought i'll change the lot, got a set from Ian Godney used the group buy on here, every bolt came out fine on the first 3 then the last but one bolt would not move now ....dohh!
Where can I get the recon from

 

my probs were all my own fault, all round discs and pads easy job I will do it myself

local shop needed to see my brakes as they listed so many, so stripped it down and the spring on the rear shoes snapped, went to the shop in hall green and they didnt have all the parts so I had to go to tamworth to pick up the rest, they couldnt do the spring so off the walsall to see matty for bits
When doing the the fronts i undone all four bolts on the four pots splitting the calipers in too, this would have been ok if I hadnt lost one of the inner seals, subaru dont sell them so I made one lol.
Then to top it off went to bleed them and nipple broke.

So I claybared it and give it the autoglym HD treatment lol

Brakeparts are good though used them a few times, two new brake nipples £1.80 bargain

Strut brace now fitted as well as mud flaps lol I'm a happy lad this week

 

I'm not sure of the actual name but I think they are called helicoils?? basically you drill original bolt hole out and rethread them put coils in and you are sorted. Not sure how much they are but its gotta be cheaper than replacing them!
