Result! I knew I wasn't on your ignore list despite your statements to the contrary.

Oh and I wasn't being insulting, just saying at I see it.

And on the subject of real personal insults seems you have the upper hand. Remember this, not aimed at me thankfully:

Well the "game changers" that apple are I would expect it to have a minimum 10m Camera with a large decent lense for good quality pictures and a flash (might already have this?) with the option of HD video footage also a better screen, better battery and maybe they will think to put in a back button?

That's your biggest problem, you think that anybody that doesn't agree with you is making an attack on you/iphone/apple. Peoples opinions count and you will not accept that the iphone is a phone and doesn't suit everybody and therefore is not the best phone nor is any phone.

Having had the iphone for a few weeks now there are plenty of improvements that can be made, my year old HTC TD2 has things i wish the iphone would do. Apple just hold on to things then release them giving users a warm feeling they are getting something for free, what gets me is you can't do the simplest things you can on other phones. And when people point out things it can't do you say that's because there is no point or its not needed.

And yes you are obsessive and fanatical about anything apple

Haven't apple kept releasing updates as its the most hacked phone and they were keep updating the software to stop people getting thier phone out of contract? Each update requires a new hack and I would stick £20 on it that its to stop all the hacks as they then affect all the download apps which couunts for millions

Let's not make this thread about my problems.

Did Apple do a good thing yesterday? Brilliant I thought, something for everyone. Winne the Poo, inspired choice of first iBook.

Half true Steve, I don't remember a single update that only blocked Jailbreaking. Millions are made on Jailbroken devices, how many millions, for who and why won't be easy to find out.

Every single update that they do blocks the jailbreak. I'm on T-mobile at the moment and can't upgrade my phone as it will block it, although I'm not that bothered as I have a full iphone 02 payandgo sim in it so i'm ok. But I would like to know I could upgrade my phone and not worry about the fact that I can't put my t-mobile sim in

Have you filled in the form on the O2 unlock web page? An official unlock wins every time.

I have no idea what Dean's trying to say. but I'm guessing bad news.

this hacking and virus thing is totally one sided - it's always which is more prevalent or popular and, wrongly, the less popular devices are viewed as more secure

okay windows *was less secure than osx, but for a virus writer it's the sensible viral choice as there are simply more installations out there to proliferate on. even vista, that massive failure of an os, obliterates osx in sheer license numbers.

and let's face it, there's fame and fortune in hacking a new iphone update/os. unless you hack android, no one gives a stuff about other phones.

so, yeah the iphone is the 'least' secure phone and windows is the 'least' secure OS.

Chefdude, malware authoring is all about the money, if there's money to be made someone's going to try. I think it's 50,000,000 iPhones sold now, that's a pretty huge market, much larger than miscreants have targeted in the past, I clearly remember AOL having 11,000,000 members and a whole lot of trouble.

That's why I'd be wary of Home Hacking an iPhone, do you really know what you've just done? To a device that can do so much. Quite scary.

Luckily you can't just run applications on the iPhone, some people see this as a failing, they want to be able to run any code they want, other's appreciate the shelter pre screening provides.

Android may be able to cope and I hope it does, but what's in place to stop little Johnny making an app that tracks you and tells him when it's supposed to do something more appealing.

I'm quite surprised the Antivirus vendors aren't pushing products harder, we produced a mobile solution years before any real threat when that was my game.
