The next iPhone
Can we say ego trip LOL!

You really have to question the mentality of a poster who claims to put another poster on ignore, but then still responds to their posts claiming the can't see them. It's quite peculiar behaviour really

Well the iPhoneOS 4.0 has quite a few new things..

Home wallpaper and lock screen to change
iBooks for the iphone
New enterprise features, data protection, wireless app distribution
Looking good so far

It was looking so good and then steve drops a complete bollock at the last ****ing minute

The multitasking part of the iphone OS 4 will NOT be supported by the iPhone 3G !! Only on the iphone 3GS and ipod touch 3rd gen. **** !!!
Not a biggie for me as I will be getting a new iPhone 4 or HD with the new OS but a bit of an issue for those people who are not upgrading their handset just yet

Jobs announced the launch of iAds, a function that will allow advertisers to buy targeted interactive ads that will feature inside the apps that users activate on their iPhones.
I know one person that's not going to be happy about that!
I bet certain people on here will get the latest iPhone claiming it will do everything. They will also get the iPad claiming it does everything the iPhone doesnt!
I remember the days when phones were phones and made calls, yes calls, nowadays people buy phones for the features they have but will not use!!

You're right Jay, and people will come on here to tell us their phone does the things that others were hoping the iPhone did.
The good news is that Apple are a bit good at releasing free updates that provide extra functionality to even their oldest phones, quite often negating the need to buy yet another device.
Unfortunately for this forum discussing the good things that Apple do leaves you open to attack, it's a shame as I'd bet there are a lot of happy iPhone users today scared to post as they've seen how vicious these attacks can become.
Me, I'm over the moon, thanks Steve, thanks Apple, thanks iPhone. You've increased the value of my mobile device, changed the game once again with ingenious use of the SDK and added features that will enhance my day.
I can't wait for the next iPhone now, the value of my iPhone has easily increased enough to cover the cost of my next upgrade.

I've watched the whole keynote, once again well done Apple for moving the game - literally - forward. My reasons for appreciation are pretty standard so I won't harp on too much unless encouraged to do so.
I have to apologise for a little misinformation, the original iPhone will not benefit from this update, unless you don't mind a little hacking that is. But do bear in mind that even though your device is probably three years old it's still the benchmark other new phones are trying to achieve.

Jack, you're starting to sound a bit fanatical
I love apple products, but i don't *love* them lol
I think I will get the 3GS and then the v4 mark II when it comes out in 18 months.
I do like the folders idea, but not over the moon on advertising.
multi tasking - meh
multiple mail accounts in one inbox -
keep it real Jack

Starting to get fanatical, if this forum's to be believed I'm the CEO of Fanaticism.
Hopefully the antifanboys won't arrive, and I'll be able to contain myself. Here's a pre-emptive strike just in case.
Bluetooth Keyboard Support! Win. Even sausage fingered blackberry users will be able to find a piece of hardware to suit. Real full Qwerty, who knew.
Improved enterprise support and increased security. Maybe the police could pull back some of that £4,000,000 budget with a simple British app.
In App SMS. That's right, Apple have improved SMS!

It will be nice to know that come this summer I will have a lovely new iPhone 3GS HD (or whatever they call it) with OS 4.0 on it with all the bells and whistles at no exra cost and a well looked after 16G iPhone 3G ready to sell on ....everyone's a winner
Apple make Microsoft look humble when it comes to telling people what they must like and have and do. How they can dress iAds up as a benefit to the consumer is beyond me.
Must be selling lots of the iBrainwash app first I reckon.
And does the bloody thing do SMS delivery receipts at last?

question 2. if you do but no sms receipts is that a deal breaker ?
If the answer to question 1 is no then what the hell are you doing here ??
if the answer to question 1 is yes and yes to question 2 then I guess you need to look at alternatives or pen a strongly worded letter to steve

This is so funny. It's like reading the script of a bad American advert for a weight loss product or the likes.
