The car was handling so well on the freshly Zen set up BC ER coilovers and with the aero package that this limit was well beyond the size of my kahuunas in coppice in particular. There is room for improvement in me there.
Key thing is that I have nothing that needs to be done on the car before next weekend's fun
As for TA - it all comes to my home track of Snetterton next in October. I may need some more power for that one.
Absolutely. I just love that track and everytime I go I enjoy it even if it doesnt go 100% to plan at times. Despite the traffic it was still far less traffic than I have ever had on a track day there (it is impossible to get a full lap there without being held up behind something) so really these were the first full pace laps. Still learning the cars new limits and trying to raise my own perception of how fast I can go around the corners there too even on old 888's.

Will you be fully powered up for this weekend @ TOTB now the engine has been run in hard
See you up there fellas
Target for me is mid 10's on the 1/4, top 10 on handling and as close to 170mph on the standing km that I can.
Weather is looking good for Sunday so fingers crossed it stays that way and doesnt interfere with the potential times.

Well done duncan
I was willing you to beat lee b in your class but it wasn;t to be
The money he has spent on that black evo should put him in the pro class
For you to be as near to matching him is very impressive indeed
Will be watching you at totb
Cheers

It went well for a while
It started off pretty good and got my eye in on the handling track and was leading overall til I went off to do a 1/4 mile to prepare myself on that and to kill some time while waiting for the handling track to get quicker.
This proved too much for the clutch and something was def not right with only 1/2 inch of travel to try and disengage drive. I have to be honest and say I cant remember at what point in the 1/4 mile this happened as I was too busy trying to figure out why my throttle had jammed open and was holding on until the end of the km before hitting the kill switch.
I think it has warped the clutch cover or something inside the clutch mechanism as we bled it many times to get enough travel to disengage fully. I could have done another run but crunching gears would be a recipe for a destroyed box and they arent cheap and it wasnt worth it. Shame but I guess sh*t happens.
The 1/4 mile time was 11.3 @ 123mph on CAL 2 (loads more to go) - better than last year but not quite what i wanted and def not the end result.
As for the rest of Team Subaru - some stunning performances from Clive and Mikee but unfortunately we were 100% beaten by the evo - well done MLR

Hi Duncan,
Managed to squeeze in by your car yesterday, but your were in the process of bleeding the clutch so didnt want to disturb, shame you missed out in the end, looked by far the best on the handling track, like you say you were leading, deffinately the most commited setting off
, once i work out how to upload stuff ill post some pics and vids of you.
Hope to see it back fighting soon tho!!

Thanks Jimmy - unfortunately I was in kind of a grumpy mood to say the least so not my normal chatty/smiling self

I loved my launches on the handling track .. just a shame the clutch didnt

It wont be off the road for long I am sure, will drop the box out this week and see where I go from there.
Banny - cheers mate
