right just seen this and here i am not hiding or what ever you think i am doing.

i just want to make my side of the story clear as well so here it is
when i picked up the car i knew you wanted the plate back and that was fine with me.
i waited 3 months for you to let me know when to change the plates didnt hear nothing at the time was getting pulled over by our not so keen on small front plates police.
who told me the change it.
not having v5 to get one made meant me going to dvla to request logbook with which you phoned to let me know you was still trying to sort plate out when you received phone call from dvla stating that i had been in.
at the time they gave me a form to allow me to have legal plate made.
in regards to emails etc i have not checked them till yesterday and didnt take to kindly to i am coming to get you!!!
i dont know what you need/want me to do to resolve this but will sort it out with you if you want to pm me.

will

with hindsight maybe you should have retained the plate before selling the car, then this would have been avoided j
