Daz I will be taking the seats. front bumper and door cards over to SPR today.

I believe it's just the splitter & arches to complete the items that SPR will require when shell is returned for final prep & paint.?
If you are fitting suspension we shall need wheels / tyres so when shell is returned to SPR on 1st Sept they can modify arches accordingly ?

I will source wheels within next few weeks. Just waiting on replies.

They are all set for that date to crack on with it in ( 6 weeks time)!!

I have explained to Darren & James (SPR Coachworks) that you will encircle (with red marker) any hole in the shell that is to remain. Anything not encircled to be filled / plated.

Once shell is prepared & painted they will be refitting suspension & wheels to enable a rolling shell then I will be returning the car up to you for final assembly. I will leave seats at SPR to provide you room for internal works (fuel lines, fire system, dash etc)
I can fit door cards, seats, harness's etc at a later date.

Does Steve have details of fuel cell? Has he commenced yet or waiting for any details?
Not sure what's happening there dude?

Steven has a car he's using as a design mule. He's on with it I believe. He's a busy fella. Let him get TOTB out of the way the tank can be done after that.

I know the feeling.
Some things can't be rushed from experience!

How long did your P1 take to get to the current spec?

P1 was 4 years from start to finish Pete.

As you wisely mentioned there are many things that need to be carried out carefully. Daz has not just rushed the engine build but taken his time and done it properly.
The order of priority and the programming of the project is also very important which involves the shell being transported up & down the country.

Considering the volume of issues that are involved P2 is flowing very well and if all up and running in early 2011 will be a great achievement by all involved.

LMAO that was not the engine only.

I had several visits:-

1. I had what you are having done now (ish)
2. AP Brakes
3. 6 Speed & Triple plate clutch
4. There first Rotated Turbo & kit / All ceramic works / Headers
5. Larger Oil Cooler.

That spanned four years.

And that's it....... FENITTO

lol...... no more projects after P2 I'm afraid. These things are not cheap!

No more work on P1, that's mad enough as it is. All that needs now is for me to look after it and keep it on song.

P2 is where all the action will take place from now on.. When the thing is built I will then spend time on track learning the car & finding the limits. When I feel confident with the car it will be entered in competition.

We have many options left to make the car better, stronger & faster and I dare say all of that will happen further down the line.

RCM are still, and have been fully committed from day one supplying there knowledge, suggestions & advice together with sourcing parts.
Communication between all is non stop.

The Northern Git is also fully committed & devotes much time on the building of P2. His work is very thorough and spot on.

He may not look the full ticket?

But he knows his stuff.

Don't start that again you old fart. Remember I can just as easily take it all apart again Infact I may just do that with some additional holes drilled like through the piston tops, through the block and I'm sure those BC coil overs will make some wicked legs for my surround speaker stands in my lounge!!!

(ignore the arches, I was forced to do them by hand)

This will provide you with a rough idea of what P2 will look like when completed.

It won't be exactly the same, but the theme will be.

There will be other company decals on the finished car.

SPR Coachworks = Paint

Samco = Supplied all requirements free

Maybe more to come.

All grey will be in the RB5 grey. Body will be in Audi Diamond white.

Yellow is the same as my company colour, That will also be on there.

What ya reckon chaps ?
