Right guys just to let people know, that push type ones as in pics are £25 delivered.
If people want AN fittings thats fine but they will be £35 delivered as i have to pay £10 for the weld on fittings. Still very cheap tho i hope you will agree. Just let me know sizes etc and i will get onto it. cheers.

Hi Type Ellis, I'd like one too please. Push on is fine for me. I wonder if you could place the fitting like this:
I think the side entry helps 'swirl' and is quite popular. The engine feed can be central but the fuel rail return and tank feed should be side at the top for good de-aeration.
I don't mind if it's bulk head or base mount.
Cheers

What size mate? 1L or 2L ? am prety sure you would find room under the bonnet for a 1L one but a 2L one would need to go somewhere else as im prety sure its too big for under the bonnet.

Right guys, here is two ive made up today, havent recieved my AN fittings yet so these ones are the push on ones. Made a 1L and a 2L one. Gave them a quick rub over with a scotch pad but if you want to polish them its easy with some metal polish and a rag, or a buffer in a drill is even better, They come up mirror finish with enough polishing. I have made them to a guide i found , The pipe positions are as it said, one right at the bottom ( feed to engine ) One slightly higher on other side ( feed from tank ) Apparently that causes it to swirl Then the one in the side on top is return from the rails ( right at top so warm fuel isnt going straight back into the engine ) and finaly the one in the middle at very top is the return to the tank ( right in middle as apparently , naturaly any air in there will rise to the top up the middle and out ) . Now im no expert in the design of these but it all sounds right too me. Sorry the pics are not the best, dont have great light in the house and its dark outside . Anyway if you like what you see and still want one just need to know what size and weather its for push on ( as in pics ) or for AN fittings. Any other requests then feel free to ask and will see what i can do. cheers
I'm after a 2ltr version, push on connections, but can you make the mounting plate on the bottom 1/2 inch bigger than the pot?
PM me with your payment info
Cheers
Stu.

As stated the inlets and outlet should be offset to promote swirl as like the ones from this site: Alloy Racing Fabrications - Swirl Pots :: Fuel swirl pot :: 1 Ltr Alloy fuel swirl pot
The swirling of the fuel in the tank helps to seperate it from the air, something to do with the denser fuel being pushed to the sides and the less dense air staying in the middle and rising up. Probably like when you stir a fizzy drink and you get a whirl of bubbles in the middle.
Also, just my opinion, but the way it should be piped up is bottom outlet to fuel rail, middle one is return from fuel rail, top one is feed from tank and very top middle one is return to tank. My reason for this is that the fuel coming back from the rail should be air free already, so to me it makes sense to make that the middle one.
Also, what arrangement needs to be made with fuel pumps and FPR's?? Do you just stick the FPR on the return to the tank from the pot or do you need to have it on the return to the pot from the rails with an inline pump feeding the rails? I'm not sure on this.
Edit: Just done some reading and apparently the pipework does go how originally stated, not my way. Something to do with the fuel coming back in from the rail being warmer than the fuel coming in from the tank. So maybe having the return from the rail lower than the inlet from the tank means you will get warm fuel going back to the rail so not good. Maybe someone with more knowledge can answer why? Also from having a read it seems you do need a 2 pump set up. Your in tank pump feeds the swirl pot and then you need an external, inline pump to feed the rails with the return to the swirl pot going through the FPR.
