Oh dear, I think I got you on that one then!
"It doesn't rain every day" But that also means it's not dry every day either. Apparently around the London region it rains on average approximately 140 - 150 days of the year. That's a large proportion for you to have to take it easy in your FWD car and the rest of the "dry" days mine is still as good if not better!
As for the bulk dragging out the stopping distances.... That's why we have big brakes as standard!

Something else to consider here SirFozz, and having punted a fair few different types of motor round a circuit, a nicely balanced FWD with a good LSD in the wet is not far off the pace of an AWD out of a corner. Things have moved on in the suspension dept. Not quite as good for sure but then you have the FWD advantages in other areas to balance it.
Your wet AWD advantage is not the big dominant factor you think it is -on circuit anyway.
Road use - are you pushing that hard in the wet?
Snow - AWD wins, but a FWD on winter tyres can beat the sucker in his part-time mock AWD shod with summer sports tyres.

Oh and just another point here, wasnt a 2007 Sti Wagon about £27K list? No Megane comparison.

You need those big brakes for the big mass.

Are you going to admit to any AWD disadvantges then? You are starting to reveal a lack of understanding my good Sir.

By the way Conrod, despite the huge amount of pi55 taking on here, we would openly invite any of you Frog Mobile boys to one of our meets. We base ourselves on like minded folks, not marques, so the welcome is always open

Just banter from me to be honest. I love nice cars, all makes and models. I like the fact that people are so passionate about something that they are willing to argue it out with each other, makes life interesting.
Currently I own and drive a Subaru so I will defend it. If I sell it and buy something else I will defend that too!

It's 7K cheaper because as mentioned - no one wants to buy it, hence the discounts
I'd have more fun driving around in a Skoda Estelle 130 than a Renault AND less embarassing
How is the 250 dynamically a better car? You haven't managed to make me want to even test drive one

Where's Wayne btw??? He still hasn't edited his post the ****, despite being asked politely... maye he's disguising his car so he doesn't get spotted. although clearasil would probably be more effective

We are all passionate about cars, we choose to nail our colours to a different flag.

I know my car isn't the fastest and best handling. That's something I've learnt in the past......no matter what you drive, there's always some git out there with something faster!

Dynamically better because when you look at the numbers you flashed up, the Megane gets round a circuit quicker on less poke with a top chassis, suspension and LSD package.

How can you not love a car that looks like that? I want one!
Budgie is well known for his one-liners. He is a man of little words, though most would not consider it a challenge for him
I think I'm warming to DipStick, sorry I mean Conrod
But I think he's gone & left us now......
Tiny, your task this weekend, should you choose to accept, is to find us another.......please!
