there are two ways of looking at my antics:-
a) i'm testing myself and the cars abilities in a slow, safe (no other traffic) environment
b) there is no need for me to go out
but, in case of emergency or me getting caught in the snow, at the moment a) is the best bet.
the worst that can happen at <30mph is a severly mangled set of rims IMHO
but, i do admire your thoughts on this, so thank you

Dunno what all the fuss is about.

I spent 1/2 an hour following a bin lorry trying to get up a small hill with parked cars either side & traffic coming down the hill not giving way to it coming up. Every time it had to stop it couldn't get going again.
The best bit is I left a good gap behind it in case it started sliding down the hill like on that news clip they often show. Plenty of room for him to reverse back a bit & rock it out of the ruts & what happens? A dopey woman goes round me & goes to plonk herself behind it.
She then realises it's blocking the road & goes to reverse back behind me only to find another car had by then pulled up behind me. So she is now blocking the other lane with nowhere to go front or back.
Saw a nice new BMW estate turning into his uphill sloping drive @ 0 mph with rear wheels spinning & major understeer drive straight into his low brick wall that curved out from the drive.
Another car had his 3 passengers pushing him on & off all the way up the same bit of road about 6 times before they dare get in. I finished my flask of coffee & poodled up in second gear. Must have been the SIDC sticker gave me AWD power.
