Will be fine till it freezes tonight. Just waiting for the phonecall to pick the kids up from school, can't see it staying open with the current forecast.

Comes back to the born before 1980 thing Daz, before liability insurance, crossing patrol unions etc lol... forecast is heavy snow till gone 6 o'clock so probably don't want to get stuck themselves. I am currently watching the corner at the end of the road that people always take too fast lol, good entertainment especially as I am parked nowhere near them.

Only 2 days into my new job at the School and it's closed today because of the snow.

The trouble is nowdays you have to do a Risk Assessment for everything - it's Health & Safety gone mad. Also trying to get cover at short notice for staff who just can't get to work is difficult.

I do feel for those parents who work though.

.........................right off to build a snowman!

Just had our first pavement mounting of the day, a slow motion golf narrowly missing a pedestrian, the snow beneath him suddenly turned brown !

Not looking forward to it all freezing tonight , looks like the forecast for the weekend is snow Sat & Sunday. I used to love the snow when I was a kid , hate the stuff now (15 mile drive to the station at 5:30 in the morning doesn't help)

Not too bad here in Witham at the moment, about 4" on the ground but melting off the cars already.

No problem going to the stables this morning, a little bit of sideways action every now and then resulting in a couple of pedestrians having learned that it's not a good idea to jump in front of cars in the snow only left her unattended for 1 hour whilst I was busy and came back to this:

Now hoping I won't have to resort to the shovel to get out of the compound this evening!

Woke up at 05.00am, took one look out the window, thought "sod it" and went back to bed.......... got up again at 09.30am and it was roughly a foot or so deep........ kept on snowing and I guess it's now about 1½ft-2ft deep...

Methinks the overland train will be in heavy demand tommorow morning!

Dazza,I'm probably gonna get my head bitten off and I'm only saying this as I like you,but do you have to go out in bad weather condition's which could end up with you having a serious accident or worse, especially when you don't have too, make a snowman it's much safer
