it talks in the book about the 94 model and says in the same chapter ON the 1994 impreza "TODAY " as in the current year the book was made which was 2005 btw it says "TODAY , EVERY STI VERSION IS ASSEMBLED AT PRODUCTION LINES ETC ETC MANUFACTURED TO HIGHER TOLERANCES ETC ETC CYLINDER BLOCK FINISHED IN CRACKLE RED ," if u note that the block is red on the newer sti's and states that there is no distinguishable differences from the ver2 than the ver1 apart from the vin numbers , do us a favour mate ask stevie whitson or andy forrest and they will tell u the same thing lol because i recieved this information from stevie who builds engines for andy btw the coil pack on top of the inlet manifold was the first engine to recieve the red inlet manifold which is a version 3 ,

i have seen 96/97 engines in ver1 and ver2's so u could have a red inlet manifold due to the fact that its a newer engine or heads as the phase 2 red inlet manifold doesnt fit the phase 1 heads , the phase 1 inlet manifold is the bulky square looking one with the three ports on the top and the throttle on the right hand side of the throttle body looking from the front and were NEVER painted red unless done by someone who couldnt afford the real deal ?

its not my car mate and the idle control valve does leak oil that is why u get oil in the resonator box after the air filter ?????? so it would be a good idea , but as i said not my car mate but i know its a v2

those are chassis codes that will tell u that the original car was an sti and before u start saying MBD STI 2 apart from ur mising the sti id plate which is a must the only way to tell urs is an sti is from gearbox and engine codes as the wrx wagon v2 has the same chassis number as the sti wagon v2,

i had a wagon that LOOKSWISE was identical to urs had the ic water spray etc and it wasnt an sti as it had no id plate and the wrong gearbox code

been an import mechanic for 12 years and doesnt know that under high boost pressure oil wheeps from the iacv ? even on standard imprezas it does this ? also claims to have an sti v2 when theres no id plate on his strut and has his oil breather pipes mastikated to his entry pipe lol no probs mate ive had subarus since i was 17 and have owned virtually no other car for the past 5-6 years and know what i know by listening and watching the best , i dont know everything and there are a lot more people in this site who know loads and loads more than me but thats besides the point as also that front splitter u have on ur car was colour coded on sti's from the factory , the rear lights u have are wrx ones as the clear lenses are the sti ones and u also cant see the ic water spray bottle next to ur air filter ???? missing a lot of genuine parts and plates mate , dont u wonder ???

u never posted a pic of the STI interior either , is it the blue one u have with no sti emblem lol also ur gauges with the sti emblem , black dash , black carpet , boost solenoid code , vin and gearbox codes , ic water spray and button , i could go on and on mate and i gaurantee u u are missing have the things i just mentioned ? but ur the 12 year mechanic and u know best , the funny thing is ur passenger wing with the sti emblem on it is a different paint code as u can see in the pic its a different shade , just like the wing i had on my wrx wagon that was supposed to be an sti , the silver colour codes for the wagon and sti are different silvers as i had on mine the wagon is very slightly darker than the sti which ur doors are slightly darker also , i could go on but i cant be arsed arguing with sum1 who clearly tries to defend his case by saying hes been a mechanic for 12 years etc etc u would never win so lets just call this the end of an argument mate lol coz its getting nowhere

thats a very common use of context u could have at least made it original instead of the old " it was the bosses daughters cars " line lol
