It may not be the top "supercar" tax band, but £425 a year for a mass hatch is terrible.

Band L, 231 kg Co2, £425 a year to tax after April 2010.

That's for the 07-09 MPS, which is what was out when I was looking, and is within Salsa' budget.

Thankfully the new MPS is a band lower so only £245 a year, but £550 if you buy new for year 1.

I see, these new tax thing is just silly. There should have been some more tiers imo.

That's ridiculous for a hatchback.
I've noticed my 996TT goes up to £245 (from £215 for 12 months) from April.
