Like I said, you can't please everyone all the time. We have a better track record than most though
Thanks Stu for backing me up.

You know how easy i drive that car and have not done any launches in it.

BOB I have had loads of conatct with you from day 1 of purchasing that clutch off yourself as something was never right with it.

There is JUDDER and then there is shuddering the car from front to back from day one with the clutch which is not acceptable.

I knew it was only a matter of time before the clutch went belly up.

On average i only do about 5k miles a year and only about 4k had been covered on that clutch.

Of course i was interested in the outcome of the clutch as is why i wanted it sent to Exedy for a full report which i never got even after 2 months of contacting you after you collected it.

Why hold on to the clutch and say you had an INDEPENDANT person look at it and not send it back to the manufacturer where you supposedly got it.

I know for a fact im not the only one who has have an Exedy clutch go bad off yourself without comeback.

I paid £350 for that clutch by the way. But thats not the point, the point is i had to go and buy a new flywheeel and clutch kit and get fitted at a cost of £800 which was well ahead of its time.

I think its a disgrace the way you have treated me on this.

If i was the only one to ask for a refund why not give me the refund and get your money back off Exedy???????

I will be contacting trading standards about this matter as the clutch has a full years warranty.

Get the clutch back from Aztec and send it direct to Exedy for an inspection?

I think that this is exactly the reason why we should go to a local garage to have major work like this carried out.

When it all goes wrong, we can then take the car back to them and say you fix it please
You drive it - does it feel "normal" to you?

You purchased the clutch, you fitted it and either 1 or both of those tasks have caused some sort of problem.

I'm probably gonna need a new clutch soonish on my 05STI, but it'll be going to Iain Bishop Motorsport and he'll supply & fit

I see this sort of nonsense happening all the time now with UK mainland suppliers and not even just with motor parts

I see regulary now software suppliers undercutting my company big time, coming over from the the mainland and installing systems and making a total *****

Then the customers come to us looking for bailout because the other supplier runs back to England and hides
I'm talking about systems that are in the region of 250K and simply don't fulfil the requirement

Yeah, he's got a good reputation alright.

I was only making the point - if you got him to supply & fit then maybe you wouldn't have had this hassle in the first place.

Just to clarify the type of customer "scoobboy" is, he sends us a PM at 8.56am this morning, and 1 hour and 50 minutes later posts on here how we aren't responding to his PMs! I've only just logged on for the day!

Carle, just incase you missed this from the last PM, our address for collection of your 11 month used clutch is:

Aztec Performance Ltd
Devonshire Business Centre
Works Road
Letchworth Garden City
Herts
SG6 1GJ

TEL: 01462 488244

It's also worth noting that we haven't had a single phonecall from this chap, just arsey PMs saying he wants a full refund for his 11month old worn clutch or he will slag us off online and isn't interested in what anyone, including Exedy have to say.

We gave you a GOODWILL gesture, which you happily accepted and said it would be the end of the matter, yet days later you proceed to attempt to slag us off anyway.

I would be cautious about attempting to slander us but would welcome you to take this to the fullest conclusion via the appropriate channels. You will then see that the clutch is not defective and is 100% genuine Exedy UK stock.

We've also provided you our supplier details (at your request), of the clutch, who are Exedy UK's main distributors. Something you can check and verify.

All our products are 100% genuine and checkable.

We have the highest feedback rating here on SN as we provide great products, along with a great service. We deal with that many people though that there will always be the odd one that isn't happy. Over 99%+ of customers are happy though.

This will be the last post from me on the matter, but as mentioned in previous PMs, would be happy to help you reaching a conclusion via the appropriate channels.

Aztec Performance Ltd do not supplied imported Exedy products and only Exedy UK supplied genuine products.

It looks like the Clutch did come from Exedy from the invoice so apologise for saying it was a copy.

Having read this entire thread I feel bad ofr both parties. I Know someone who had the same clutch from a different seller and his only lasted a few months so it could be a fault with that particular design. I also know someone who has had 3 API built 5 spd boxes in the last 6 months the best one only lasted 3000 miles and the worst 10 miles lol! But these two companies also have happy customers so its all luck, Just depends on how the company react to the complaint and to be fair at the minute bob isn't hiding or getting this thread locked like others on here, so lets wait and see the outcome before boycotting a company on one persons bad experience.

Carle, 2 mistakes here im afraid, firstly you bought the clutch from this dealer, secondly he has it back, so at the end of the day he could send you a different clutch back.

Its a sad state of affairs when matters like this come to light, even more annoying is the fact that threads like this usually vanish overnight!!!

Since the ownership change on this site things have gone downhill with regards to trading on the site.

Nothing seems to get done about rogue traders be it a company or a private trader.

As for your best prices BOB, flase statement is not the word! I just got a KS3 far cheaper than your offerings. Also where do you get your List prices from for HDI intercoolers?

The other question i raised BOB which you didnt answer was about another Clutch you sent to Northern Ireland. You told the lad it was for sale due to you upgrading, yet when the clutch arrived at his house the Invoice had his name on from a different trading name to Aztec performance........

How could that be?

Why are there clutches being sold that are known to judder I couldn't think of anything worse to fit on my scoob it would spoil the whole experience. When you buy a clutch do companies tell you that there could be a high percentage that it will judder and ware fast
