I'm long standing owner of Subaru's on my fith...as a consumer of things that make my car go faster, stop quicker, handle better etc, etc…

I have learned the hard way…My advice is free….and I have nothing, absolutely nothing to gain from this post or the advice I share with you…. buy off and from enthusiasts whenever you can, those who use their own products, who go racing with them, who test them, develop them, rally them, sprint them, report on them and stand by what they say, buy off the bloke who spends time with you, buy from fellow enthusiasts and don’t be fooled by the parasites who attack these enthusiasts/traders, who have proved the worth of what they sell

I watched a lot of corespondence flying back and forth on another thread... and felt strongly enough to put my feelings into words... I dont post much, but do read lots on here... and I am surprised at the reception my post and I have received?

I am support of good honest traders... but feel this site has become a supermarket for the Wolves and is has become a feeding pit for dodgy dealers... Just my honest observations

Sorry to have taken up so much of your time guys, was just trying to help... will think twice about posting a long story in the future if at all

Guess the truth hurts/shocks some people and the only way they can express their thoughts is with sarcasm

Don't think anyone is particularly disagreeing with what the OP said or even objecting to it. Fact of the matter is that he's probably right but, sadly it's a true case for a lot of other sites too including ones that are dedicated to buying and selling.
Ultimately, the site has some measures in place to try and help buyers and traders on here plus the mods doing their best too as do many of the other sites but still, it's perfectly possible to deceive from either position if that's the intention.
The grim reality to buying on this site, others online or anywhere else even in the real world comes down to not being a plank! Would you buy a watch from a bloke on a back alley corner who's telling you it's really worth a grand but because he's a little bit skint and he thinks you look like a nice guy he'll let you have it for a score? No .... well .... you might but you sure as heck aren't going to be expecting it to be genuine or have a guarantee you can use so why would you expect that same deal to be real if it were online? Like I said, it's about not being a plank.

As for "sarcastic" remarks .... to be fair, the responses were pretty tame for here really. For the most part they only seemed to be light-hearted banter to me .... it was a post of biblical proportions!

[QUOTE=Nobby248;9074994]I am surprised at the reception my post and I have received?

my guess is that nobby did not think it was light hearted banter.

will admit though i had just read a long winded and pointless argument about dangerous dogs on snet and was still a little sparky
