Yeah if you think about it in simple terms
As I'm simple , a pipe would not suck closed if the air was coming though filter at rate it's being pulled in .
Ie a vacuum must be the problem, logically ?

Yeah, air being sucked through at a high rate causes a very low pressure on the inside, whilst you still have a relatively high pressure on the outside (despite the forward motion of the car). Net result is that a the pipe can collapse due to pressure always wanting to equalise i.e. high pressure rushing to low pressure areas...

Why not try a 42 billet if its not your cup of tea we will swap it out for a 46 billet.

No pressure.

Not to scupper Kev's plans but my choice would be the 46. Proven to be a great turbo.

They spooled themselves out of the van when nobody was looking.

I been waiting for 6 months!! Was originally waiting for the LM400 from Ian as it took them untill last week to get compressor covers in. I contacted Kev about a month and a half ago who has just come through today. However Kev made me an offer I couldn't refuse and the feed back on here is nothing but good.

Have there been any twinscrolls fitted and mapped to anyones yet, Either SC42, SC46 as i`m thinking about investing in one, Got injectors sorted, Other than that the car has:-

3 Port boost control
K & N panel filter(Might change to CAI, If req)
3" Decat throughout

Car is a MY03 STI Spec-C currently running 357bhp/358lbft with an ECUTEK map done by powerstation about 5 years ago, Obvioulsy i dont want to change too much on the car and dont really want to go front mount if i dont have to, Thinking out loud here but will i get away with the TMIC on the SC42 but probablly have to go front mount on the SC46, Any advice would be appretiated,

Many Thanks, Gaz.

Top mount should be ok up to 450bhp. My car is a JDM 2.0l twinscroll so I will let you know how I get on.

Thanks Immy,

What you going for, SC46 then?

I know a couple of guys that are running 420ish through the top mounts so figured the SC42 was fine as is but wasn`t sure when it becomes a bit of an issue,
Want to keep the Spec-C as original looking as possible so front mount at a last resort if the TMIC can`t take the 450bhp

Or stick with the SC42 and make do with just 420hp ish
