Can you advise how your gt30 (& GT33 if you have done this yet) compares to the SC46 as far as spool up goes plz

Lee....

I originally had the SC46 billet fitted to my 2.3 but have since upgraded to the GT30 billet. Obviously there are numerous other variables to take into consideration but the figures you're really interested in are as follows:

* SC46 produced 500 with full boost at 3000

* GT30 produced 600 with full boost at 3350

Both at 1.9 bar on V-power + 20% meth and both VERY highly recommended!

Kev, can you list the exhaust housing sizes, in cm^2, for these turbos:-

SC36 Billet
SC38 Billet
SC40 Billet

SC42 Billet
SC46 Billet

Many thanks.

Hi,

Thanks Danny, saved me a job.

Who better to explain the figures than someone who has first hand experience of both turbo's on track.

cheers

Hi,

are you designing your own range ?

They are all 7cm up to and including the SC46, however a new SC46 8cm exhaust housing is here for testing, may just give that bit more top end on a 2.5 with little loss of spool.

Always improving the range, more testing to come I see.

cheers

Brilliant! I thought for one minute the 46 might be 8 only. Even better that it's 7!

Hi,

today we are testing at the pod. Our drag car (if it survives) is to race there on Sunday so we thought it needed a shake down.

Mikee has just pulled a 9.88 1/4 mile at 1.6 bar on one of our GT 30 Billets strapped to a 2.1 stroker.

More to come we hope unless he breaks it.

I've just had the SC46 fitted with appropriate supporting engine mods, and the boys at Scoobyclinic kindly remapped the car to try and preserve my standard chocolate gear box.
see you SC boys tomorrow, I'm looking forward to the drive home...

...now to start saving for gearbox and brakes

Hi,

think the box will get broken easily, just road tested it to the MOT place and back, its quick even at actuator pressure, very quick.

342 BHP at 1.1 bar with full boost at just 2750 RPM, wait till we give it some proper boost.

see you tomorrow

cheers
