I have an sc50 billet on a 2.1....need to take it to the clinic to get the proper power out.....due to an intake issue we think...only 435/400 but spool is good.
I would have thought a sc54 would be too big?
a trip north from sussex beckons

Hi,
they may run them but I would expect they would be very laggy.
We will have to try one when silly season is over, simply not got time at the moment, scoobyclinic scoobyshootout at Elvington this Sunday and not one car redy yet .
cheers

I do know where you are coming from though, the ultimate road car would benefit from having a smaller turbo in town, but on the open road I would rather have the big one every time.

No, but I have already had an enquiry for a Twincharged setup for a hillclimb car. Supercharged and turbocharged, just need to work out the logistics, lol.
Anyway, I should think after we've finished this time you might leave it alone for a while.

I stand corrected.
Top job yet again from the masters of the 2.1.
Well done Martyn.

As the man had already discussed wanting to modify his heads and drop the stock cams for something a bit better, we carried on and removed the engine. A full strip down revealed no problems but as we had recently released our new higher spec stroker motor, we decided to up the game a bit there too.
After a refresh with new Cosworth rods and pistons, new AVCS heads which were flowed in house, a full Cosworth valve train was installed in them with 278/274 cams, dual springs and titanium retainers. As we wanted to ensure enough fuel delivery we purchased a set of APS tumbler deletes and fabricated an 8 injector setup utilising 4 Perrin parallel fuel rails, stock Spec C primary injectors and 4 ID1000 secondary injectors.
The Syvecs S6GP controls them beatifully
Initial testing has been fruitful and we are now seeing over 600bhp on VPower at just 1.9 bar. A one off run @ 2.3 bar produced 664bhp, but as this is only a road car after all it won't actually run that on the road.
A daily drive 20% meth map and a Q16 race fuel map are yet to be done and I'll keep you all updated as to the results.
1.9 bar on VPower

Thanks m8, well now you've brought it up i'd better update people on it's progress. Back in September last year the decision was taken to try a Billet GT35R with the larger exhaust housing. At the time we were a little dissapointed in the early results only gaining 20hp over the previous 530bhp on VPower.

Hi,
first thing tomorrow (Fri) for the SC40 Billet
Just finished the SC40 Billet "TWIN SCROLL", 401 BHP, graphs to follow
Not bad for a budget twin scroll priced at just £995.00 + vat.
Reason the twin scroll jumped the queue is that its bolted to the Time attack car shown above purely for setting up the suspension at Sneterton tomorrow.
When it comes back it will be fitted with a much bigger Twin scroll Billet.
Keep you posted.
cheers

Would you happen to have the Dyno Graphs for the SC40 Twin Scroll from the post above or any other SC40 Twin Scrolls that have been mapped?
Prefer if you had them from a EJ207.

No matter what anyone will try to tell you, on an engine of the same size you will always sacrifice some spool when you switch to a much larger turbo. Inevitable really, as it requires more exhaust gas to turn it. How much of a difference this will make on the road, depends on your driving style and ability to adapt to the new setup.
To be fair once you get this thing going there'll be no stopping it

Hi,
talk about eat my words.
earlier I said that rotated turbo's will probably be laggy on the 2.1 strokers.
Just tried a GT 30 Billet on a 2.1 stroker with a 20% meth mix and V power it made 623.9 BHP and 570 ft-lbs of torque.
spool was amazing, 1 bar at 4000 rpm, 2 bar at 4400 and 2.2 bar at 4600 and remember it would be much quicker to spool on the road.
Pity it got stuck in 5th at the scooby shootout yesterday.
graphs to follow.

yes it would have been nice to see a 9 on its first outing, it didn't do bad though as Mikee went 1st, 2nd, 5th missing 3rd & 4th gear yet still managed an 11.
Well done with your PB, Mikee will be chasing you now you have raised the bar.
Cheers

sorry I missed that one.
we never persevered with the 40 Billet twin scroll, instead we went straight to the SC46 billet twin scroll, seems thats what the market wanted.
cheers

Hi,
they will be on the next shippment which will be late this week or early next.
Graphs from the 2.1 with a 30 Billet as promised.
To correct my earlier post the fuel was E85 and not a 20% meth and V power mix.
cheers
