Nice result martyn,i reckon thats def a 700bhp+ car if/when ran in more favourable weather as the ambient and intake temps on the race fuel graph are extreme.

It was fairly sweaty that day m8

There's more to come from more boost and the Nitrous which hasn't been ran yet, but it's out of injectors for a minute. Currently sorting the wiring and ecu drivers to run two extra injectors already mounted in the custom plenum.
Potentially another 100hp to come yet

A tad laggy?

I was thinking of this turbo for my 2.1 but I'd be inclined to stick to a 30 having seen that boost graph.

Bare in mind Daz that this isn't on a standard Billet 35. This one has a larger comp wheel and isn't being helped by the lack of AVCS or the fairly long duration cams it's fitted with.
In my experience a well specced AVCS equipped 2.1 drives very well on a Billet 35.

Martyn, that's an impressive graph for a 35!
But out of curiousity, you say it doesn't have AVCS, what's the spec of the heads to keep the torque curve that flat upto (and beyond) 8k?
I'm not asking for trade secrets or anything, just inspiration for future mods

We don't have trade secrets

Heads are in house ported version 5 heads with +1mm exhaust valves and stock inlets, camshafts are 280 duration with 10.8mm lift.
The car is also equipped with a custom plenum that appears to have really helped it hang on to the revs, details here.

Indeed. You have an amazing combo - 2.1/AVCS/SC42 - for super-quick turbo spool-up. It must be so enjoyable on the road.

At some point I will strongly consider the 2.1 stroker, especially if my engine decides to go pop.
The bhp output from the 2.1 versus the 2.0 is actually negligible, it's the torque and 500rpm earlier spool difference which makes me really fancy it

This is what mine did eventually with meth, not sure I ever posted it.

Hi. What is the difference on spooling: I have STI7 2.0 JDM with RCM equal lenght twinscroll, plasma coils, 3" exhaust, no cat, walhbro pump, apexi intake, greddy boost control, VF49 turbo. And not enough power, 330hp/430Nm, 1,2bar (when old race cat fitted).. So what is difference on spooling SC38 and SC42. My goal is to keep fast spool on a daily driven car.. And should I get Fmic or stay OEM Tmic? Maybe 380-420hp?

The VF48 turbo you have fitted on your car now isnt suited to 2.0ltr engines as it was designed for 2.5ltr cars so this wont be helping with spool even with your big port AVCS heads.

The SC range of turbo`s always make more power than they are rated for,and if your after a quick spooling fast road car making around the 380bhp plus mark then i would opt for the SC36.

This should get you close to this figure with the correct supporting mods,no need to change the top mount intercooler as it will be fine at this level.

If you after more than 400bhp then either of the other turbo`s will do the job with not much difference in spool but the SC42 giving more top end grunt.

I noticed that VF49 isn't the best one.. But, " I got it cheap" had to test and there wasn't much of knowledge how it gives power..

What are choises for twinscroll as I don't want to go back to single scroll..
or what are experiences on spooling SC38 versus SC42 Twinscroll? Only thing is that little worried about engine if goes over 400hp. (I have second forced STI4 EJ20, but would not want to engine swap rebuild quite yet..). Any ideas?

edit: I haven't seen any twinscroll SC42 billet dynosheets on web.. If someone has one fitted, show the dynosheets..

Edit.. Remembered turbo model wrong, VF49 not VF48
