Has anyone managed to take down a chopper yet? everytime I lock on the chopper sends out a load of chafe and my missile goes on a mystery tour of the map.

ScoobyJawa - the same thing re: no autobalance happens on PS3. Yesterday ended up playing highrise TDM 6vs1 after several left. Not only does it not auto-balance but the option to change teams is greyed out so I couldnt even swap to help the chap out.

KoT - Yep used the stinger to good affect a few times. You either have to be close or fire two rounds (if you have scavenger perk you often pick up a spare missile as you go around). Im sure Ive taken out the harrier as well. The AC130 no chance - too high and too many chaffs

As an ex PC FPS'er I must say Im struggling with this. Got a K ratio of about 1.22 lol. What is strange is that when I watch myself die on deathcam Ive often not even fired a round off from the enemies pov. On my view Ive fired a good few bursts. My connection seems fine at 3 bars pretty much all the time and no other issues. Am assuming this is just some delay on the deathcam but would appreciate everyone elses feedback on that?

I have had the same problem on big multiplayer games on the xbox, I have been firing away at someone, yet on kill cam they have snuck up behind me and shot me in the back

I have not got the stinger yet I think that is unlocked at level 30.

Kill cam is only useful for finding out where you got shot from ,and if the idiots don't move a few easy kills
P1 Fanatic - I've had a death when shown on killcam showed i didn't fire but i did which makes the death more infuriating and my connection is fine.

I do enjoy the MP but not as much as COD4s some of the perks are great but it's a pain when trying to use new weapons to get the xp for them is quick tough as you start with just the base weapon

On multiplayer?

Yeah i take them out all the time, the majority of the time = 1 rocket and a burst on the machinegun brings them down.

Some of them take a bit more, i think the big fat ones take a few rockets, best to team up with somebody else, i always equip a rocket launcher as my second weapon as the choppers are a right PITA!

Harriers as well, bring the ******* down, nothing better then wiping out some gits hard earned attack chopper/plane, it pisses them right off

The UAV`s come down with 1 rocket, i love taking them down

It was the same in CoD4:MW where you had to rank up to release certain weapons, perks etc and complete certain challenges to get additional attachments.

It will take me ages to complete all weapons due to the headshot requirements. Done it all on the M4A1 except the last headshot challenge and now working my way slowly through the other weapons. LMG's are the most fun

The killstreak rewards are much better due to the diversity as some work better on some maps than others. The idea of the crates is cool. Nothing better than dropping one and getting an AC130 or Pave Low for free!!

I was playing Airport TDM yesterday and someone predator missiled me through the roof lol.

Me and a mate were doing the airport Spec-ops mission the other day, we had quite a bit of trouble with this one to be honest.

It seams that as you aproach certain sections, the game releases more enemy to come after you, for the first 3-4 attempts we kept getting smoked at the top of the escalators

So we decieded that we would keep running away back to the start every time we released another batch of enemy and concentrate our fire on them as they came down the escalators.

We died again

We then realised that we had claymores, so we set some traps, we died another two times

The third time we set more cunning claymore traps around the top level but did not go far enough to trigger the enemy release, randomly i saw 1 bloke standing in a shop, it apeared he was watching us, told my mate and we stopped setting the traps, and looked over to the shops counter where he was, he was doing nothing ?

So i nailed him

Damn it all went crazy, we ran back to the start point and loads all came at once, it was quite funny hearing all the claymores going off, we thought we had planned the ultimate attack, until we realised that some bloke on the top floor was shooting all the claymores, we were a bit pissed off at this point, until we saw what was aproaching the top of the escalators, about 8 riot shield guys, all in single file, they looked like they were doing a feckin conga

I was like " **** ME IAN CHECK THE ESCALATORS OUT!!! "

The all came down like a black snake of death, i picked up an RPG and shot into the middle of them with no effect

We got owned and they smacked us down after storming over to the starting point leaving us nowhere to run

The next attempt, the bloke was not in the shop, and we never saw any black conga snake action. just the usually 1-2 riot blokes coming at once (until the very last part where loads are downstairs)

Probably totally random, but it was cool as hell at the time

Hmm cant remember which level but its at least 3/4 of the way through it in a house up stairs, thats all i remember i was on a f,ing killing rampage at the time

If you shoot 7 chickens in under 10 seconds it unlocks a badge on the PS3 so I definately shot a few chickens trying that
Don't know if any of you know this yet but its quite cool. If you complete the single player campaign you will unlock an Infinity Ward museum. Inside are all the different characters, vehicles and ofcourse guns & ammo. Before you say "yeah we know that"....did anyone else notice the red buttons at the two information desks? If you walk up to the desk infront of the button it will appear with the square symbol to press but also the warning "Do not press".
Press it for a surprise and no it doesn't delete your game or anything stupid like that.

Had a wonder round the museam got bored blowing things up waiting for something to happen, will have a look now for this red button, cheers for the heads up

I suddenly got through it quite easily after about ten goes of trying. I headed right, hid behind two barrels next to the tank and stopped them getting to the tank.

You are right though - there was an endless stream of baddies on that left hand side!

Loving MW2 so far. Was a bit hard to get into...for the first 5 minutes or so!
Only played around 3 hours in campaign, so have a while to go yet. Played live a few times but those guys are proper hardcore players.

Did anyone find the storyline a tad confusing? What happened to the original bad guy?

I'm only at rank 20 online, it's taking bloody ages! I've only been playing the Free For All game though. What weapons are you all using? Any tips?

I'm on-line rank 42 in the PS3 version Quickest way I've found to rank up is to complete the weapons challenges even if it means using a gun or an attachment that you don't like much. Worst attachment IMO is the ACOG sight which is rubbish.
Theres obviously a lot of weapons to use but currently I'm using the M4A1, red dot sight & FMJ attachments. I've almost completed the challenge to get 750 kills with this weapon which is worth 10,000XP and is the last challenge for this weapon bar the headshots challenge.
The semi auto FAL is also very good to use but a tad annoying when you run into full auto hip spraying players so a machine pistol is a good back up weapon. There are also challenges like fall 15 feet and survive, fall 30 feet and die, survive an entire game etc etc -these challenges are good as there easy to do and usually worth atleast 1000-2500XP.
If your on the PS3 my gamer tags the same as my name on here so I'm always willing to play with team players, just send me an invite

@Flaps play Team games (Deathmatch,Demolition,Groundwar etc) as for weapons to use it's hard to say because everyone has their own fave.

At the mo i'm using the Scar H with Bling Perk,Cold Blooded and Ninja Pro but it varies on what map and what challenges i decide to do.

I love the FAL big hitting gun but against autos you're screwed (imo)

Love the Auto shotguns as ,imo, even against enemies with the G18 etc one hit and they are fecked

I started multiplayer with the UMP and apart from 2 rounds with the barret 50cal sniper rifle, i have only used the UMP all the way to rank 20

Just about to finish the final challenge for it now (i think about 5 headshots) then i might try another one
