Also cold air will not be sucked in to the engine bay as you suggest unless you put a positive pressure feed in to the void created by the inner wing, the plastic splash tray and outer wing.
Bring your car to us and we will fit the system with your MAF in situ. We have done this on a number of occasions but I do not have photographs. Some of our customers may well be prepared to post photographs of their installation.
Harvey, I'm not looking to fit it will MAF in place, I plan to fit a Solaris soon and this was a dummy run too see what is possibe. I was just after feedback on whether other people have managed a better fit in the space available. The ABS unit and pipes seem unavoidable IMHO.

Both the ABS unit and the pipes are easily moved by a small amount to accomodate but fitting it properly with MAF in situ takes some adept fitting ability.

I noticed the mounting bolt closest to the engine was missing on the ABS pump. I'll slacken the other and see how far it moves. Are you using self tapping screws to secure it in the new location?

Don't use any self tappers. You really need to bring your car to us and we will move your ABS for cherrybobs. I don't have any relevant photographs and there is nothing here at present to take photos of.

I did the 600-mile around trip for my Hybrid install , but it's too far for an ABS pump move.

Someone must have some pictures?

Mr. D : I need to see what distance you need to move the ABS and what you are fitting in the space before I can even haxard a price. With photos showing what you want to achieve I can probably help you.
Send to harveysmith1@btopenworld.com
What I know for sure is that we can do it if we have your car in our workshop and probably for a lot less than you would anticipate.

excellent glad i found this thread, ANders WR1 what setup did you go for in the end? i'll be going maffless/syvecs soon so need a similar set up for my v.

i take it these were the two things you bought?

80mm Spun Aluminium Induction Trumpet (RCM26)
http://www.rogerclarkmotorsport.co.u...productID=1212

K&N Cone Filter 170mm Tall (RCM01)
http://www.rogerclarkmotorsport.co.u...productID=1148

and the coupleres/joiners were the ones that came with the hybrid?

is this the largest induction setup possible? want one thats suitable fro 500bhp.

Cheers

i actually reckon i can fit this larger one in the wing

Large K&N Cone Filter 260mm Tall (RCM25)
http://www.rogerclarkmotorsport.co.u...productID=1149

with a 45 degree elbow, it'll turbn my pipework straight so with the trumpet and filter i reckon it will come right out to the front foglight cover.. if i just remove that and put some mesh their, might be good without heatsoak.

this filter is rated at 700cbf, believe the one above is 645cbf

edit: running off the measurements it might be poking slightly out of the foglight.. then i'll have rain issues..

you got any pics bern? just to give me an idea of the tight fit? i'm tempted to go for larger rcm one, im sure i'll make it fit, if not in the wing (if it pokes out) then in the engine bay, might require a bit of chopping in the wing to make it fit though.

harvey, how much for a 160-to-80mm RCM style trumpet?

Also, do you have any 80-to-90mm dogleg silicone joiners (pref in blue)?

Do you also have any 1.5" (38mm) DV-delete ally bungs and a 2-way 3-4mm vac pipe joiner?
