Nice choice Peter.

I have an Aviator 1 and 2 somewhere, on StSt band, paid £360 for both, manual wind, really well made, poor clasps though.

I bang on alot about Poljot, what a watch for the money, unbelievable.

Anymore.

I do like the Aviator, I have got a Bell and Ross BR01-94. I would like a IWC TOP GUN Double Chronograph Edition next but it is going to take alot of saving to get it.

I think timings can be done on both the small dials and with the use of the extra hand on the main dial with independant control. I think

Although I have been known to be very very wrong before

Just read up on it and it makes even less sense to me than my ridiculous assumption

It has two chronograph hands so you can time two different periods in a minute. The hands when not in use look like one but are on top of each other. if you were to start the stopwatch then stop it at 20 seconds the second hand can continue and you can then stop it at a different point. They look like they are one hand that splits apart, it is a really nice watch. When i got by bell and ross they hand one in the shop it was stunning, it is the only one i have ever seen in the flesh.

Let me tell you how it works.

You have 7 watches, you're, happy with that, one for each day of the week if you so wish.

So we shall take it from there, you will have your favorites called 'keepers' and you may fall out of favour with with certain other pieces. You will always have a 'grail' a watch you want but cant reach just yet, so eventually you trade/sell an out of favour piece to fund/make room for the next grail, and so the wheel turns.

Also remember there are often 31 days in a month, and 365 days in a year, your options on the 7 watches for the week are wide open.

If you find a cure, please let me know.

You must trust what Yoza says. He is so painfully right. Watches have this way of telling you it's time to move on and you will do as they instruct.

I have only purchased from a London shop JuraWatches via the internet, but Im sure there a few Londeners on here that can point you in the right direction.

What models are you interested in?

For looking, New Bond Street is good.

At the top end there are a couple of good second hand watch shops. At the bottom end some really interesting top end stuff.

Couldn't comment on best prices.

Dunno, thats the problem. Breitlings and Rolex are out, although I do like the Tag Monaco black, but I'm not dropping 3k on a watch.

My problem is I don't have big wrists, so my MTM at 45mm looks massive.
