Hav'nt been on S.Net for a while now and just thought I'd check out the insurance section as I'm up for renwal...caught this thread from the main page and boy am I glad I did!!!!!!!

I've got a P1 and since I got it last September it's been running a full de-catt on the standard map so been really afraid to give it any real beans and have the engine pop!!

Been thinking about having the car mapped by Bob since I got it but the £600+ fee was just not affordable so this GB is a real godsend!!

Gonna email Bob within the hour and I really hope he can fit me in as it's the only way I can enjoy driving the P1 to the limit.

Bit of advice if anyone csan help!!

The car is running a full de-catt system 2.5 inch bore and a K&N panel filter. I've picked up a 3 port boost solonoid from the P1 gathering for the remap.

I'm really after a safe map with good power gains on a standard P1 engine setup, would I need to add any other items such as an uprated fuel pump or anything else or can I get a way with leaving the car as is apart from the 3 port BS??

Does anyone have a similar setup car and what sort of gains could be expected??

For peace of mind I would get the fuel pump as they don't cost much. The 3 port BS is also a worthwhile addition.

As this Grouy Buy is now coming to a close I would just like to thank the following:

All the members who have taken part in this GB, without your participation it would not have been the success that it has been. I hope that you have all been happy with the results from your mapping session.

Bob Rawle for allowing this GB to take place, it was only going to be a Wales section GB but after having spoken to Bob he was happy to role it out to the whole of Scoobynet.

I personally would like to thank Bob for his advice and guidance with my own modifications and mapping session, on my S202 he found that the restrictor pill was fitted incorrectly during the mapping session.

Even though it meant a trip back to his garage to sort it out nothing was too much trouble, we then went back out and carried on the mapping session despite Bob then having to drive to Milton Keynes after the session was over.

In closing thanks to all involved and I hope again you have all been happy with your results.

Just got back from having my car mapped with Bob and my god did not expect the wrx to have so much potential with a quality mapper and supporting mods.If anyone reading this who did not participate in the group buy but are looking for a map then look no further Bob is certainly the guy to do it. BIG thanks to Bob and cannon fodder for this whole thing needless to say i'm now like a dog with 2 D***S .

Glad to hear that it all went well for you, Bob always does an excellent job and I personally cannot recommend him highly enough.

After the mapping session it is amazing the difference before and after, it makes you realise how good Bob is and the Impreza is as well.

I would approach Bob (contact details on first page of this thread) and go from there but I would make sure that you had enough initial interest before you start the ball rolling.

And please note that if either of you start a GB you need to keep a very close eye on it, making sure of contact with Bob and ironing out any problems (preferably on PM between the organiser and those taking part).

It can be very time consuming but it is very worthwhile as those on this GB came away very happy and not one complaint or problem raised.
