Anyone fancy a run on the 13th of June
I have been contacted by some members from the 'darn sarf' who I went on a PH run with last year as they are going to be staying in the area on the w/e of the 12th/13th of June.
They have asked if anyone fancies a run out, last time we ended up Mid Wales right out in the sticks north of Llanidloes (sorry MWS members ), I am thinking if we start out in Merthyr and go down towards Neath, over Onllwyn, across the Black Mountains, Llandovery, onto the Builth Wells road, cut across at Beulah, Newbridge on Wye, Llandrindod Wells, Builth Wells, Upper and Lower Chapel, Brecon and then back down to Merthyr.
Anyone else up for this, so that we can show that Welsh roads and drivers are the best (not that it was ever in any doubt).

I was the one who contacted Tyron so thanks for posting this up!
Would Sunday be the best day for everyone to meet who's interested? About 10am? Think that was the time we met last year.....
I'm thinking of posting this up on pistonheads, that ok with you Tyron and anyone else interested? More the merrier.

Perhaps Ian we could go up to the German village up on the ranges, as you have the necessary contacts.

Come on people get some names down, you'll get to drive some of the best roads in Wales...
Apart from the Evo Triangle route but there might be something happening about that later in the summer.

Cheers mate!
The golf is running 200 bhp with 320 ftlb, it's on eibach shocks and springs, eibach front and rear antiroll bars, and s3 brake conversion.
My type r I've only owned for about 3 and a half months, but it has jdm ecu, jdm LSD, scorpion decat, spoon b pipe, spoon n1 back box, pi lowering springs, eibach/spc rear adjustable camber rods and front bolts with a fast road set up by unit8, goodridge braided hoses all round, and mintex discs and pads all round.
The fn2 type r is completely standard, but as it's the championship white edition it does have LSD, so that should help through the twisties.
Dave's 172 has a KTec cat back system, remapped ecu, and lowered on eibach springs.
Sean's ep3 type r has a supersprint b pipe, spoon n1 back box, brembo brakes, and either eibach springs or a comptech icebox induction kit (which ever he ends up buying this week!)
Jay's 172 cup has a KTec cat back system, 182 manifold and sports cat, matched inlets, either a green cotton induction kit or KnN (can't remember which) remapped ecu, and KW coilovers with fast road set up.
And Alex's ep3 type r, well, that was running a Rotrex supercharger until a couple of weeks ago when it blew a hole in one of the pistons, so at the moment he's running another type r lump in it but it's currently NA, but still quite an animal. Hondata KPro ecu, machined potted and polished inlet manifold, some sort of cams iirc, toda manifold, decat, toda cat back, and Gruppe M carbon induction kit, tein lowering springs, and if he gets them on in time- my old Spoon 4 pot calipers.

But when he hit his torque band I would see him start to pull me back in again.
Looking forward to this now.

I know from personal experience that the Golf TDi is a very capable car, last year when I had my Hawkeye WRX running at 285bhp I could pull away from the Golf through the twisties and initially on a straight.
But when he hit his torque band I would see him start to pull me back in again.
Looking forward to this now.

I'm really looking forward to it as well, just hope we have better weather than we did last year, not that it stopped us all from having a good time at all.
