You need to be able to press the correct number of keys to use a speak and spell

The speak and spell would tell you when you spell correctly and when you were incorrect, so really it was like an early scoobynet.
And if you are still too young to remember, grasshopper, ET even used one to get home!!
So it was cutting edge technology, and if you also had a BMX, you were the man!!!

 

I currently have six 80's BMX's; although I'm not sure that would make me 'the man' these days
