Astraboy.
I thought he had shares in a Private Jet, therefore wouldnt need the peasants carousel.

I see now he had fluid on his lungs, so he died from inhaling his own vomit.

Died of natural causes, if going on a drinking binge for 8+ hours then falling asleep/unconcious and drowning in your own sick is now natural causes then God help us, hopefully this will make others think but i do doubt it!

What a sad, pathetic and pitiful way for him (or indeed anyone) to die.

Hang on, one less of what sort? A gay I presume.

Yeah, everyone is entitled to an opinion, but why does someones sexuality seem to make them deserve to die, or at least not make them a loss??

i'm certainly not going to moan for him though

yes im sure his friends and family are deverstated by his death and if i was his friend or family i'm sure i would be as well but i'm not.

And that is totally understandable. I personally have los no sleep over this. Not because I don't think it's a shame, or I'm uncaring, I am just not personally effected by it.

I was only shocked by the 'one less of his sort is ok by me' comment. WTF??

Fair play you don't really care he died, but that comment stood out to me.

maybe is more of a male opinion maybe its just me but the thought of gay men just disgusts me.

now dont dont get me wrong i think everyone is entittle to lead there life the way they choose but that doesnt mean i agree with there choice of life style.

i have worked with a few gay men who in all honesty were very nice people but that still doesnt change the fact the thought of two men together makes me cringe.

again just my opinion and im sure it will be shared by some and despised by others.

"Pulmonary oedema"

I just wiki'd it and possible causes are:

Pulmonary edema is either due to direct damage to the tissue or a result of inadequate functioning of the heart or circulatory system.

When directly or indirectly caused by increased pulmonary blood pressure, pulmonary edema may appear when this pressure increases from the normal 15 mmHg[3] to above 25 mmHg.[4]

Cardiogenic
Congestive heart failure
Severe heart attack with left ventricular failure
Severe arrhythmias (tachycardia/fast heartbeat or bradycardia/slow heartbeat)
Hypertensive crisis
Pericardial effusion with tamponade
Fluid overload, e.g., from kidney failure or intravenous therapy

Non-cardiogenic
May occur after upper airway obstruction, intravenous fluid overload, neurogenic causes (seizures, head trauma, strangulation, electrocution). Can also be seen with ARDS (acute respiratory distress syndrome):

Alveolar
Inhalation of toxic gases
Pulmonary contusion, i.e., high-energy trauma
Aspiration, e.g., gastric fluid or in case of drowning
Reexpansion, i.e. post pneumonectomy or large volume thoracentesis
Reperfusion injury, i.e. postpulmonary thromboendartectomy or lung transplantation
Immersion pulmonary edema
Multiple blood transfusions
Severe infection

Other/unknown
Multitrauma, e.g., severe car accident
Neurogenic, e.g., subarachnoid hemorrhage
Certain types of medication, illicit drug use
Upper airway obstruction, i.e. negative pressure pulmonary edema
Arteriovenous malformation
Hantavirus pulmonary syndrome
Ascent to high altitude occasionally causes high altitude pulmonary edema

His sexuality should not be anything to do with this thread.

Sounds like an unfortunate occurrence to do with a good night out. He seemed to be well regarded by those who knew him and it is a tragedy that should have happened to him, at his age he was only just beginning to live his life with all the advantages that he had earned with his talents.

I make jokes about my mum dying all the time ... its a way of ignoring the facts and getting over the fact that we will die ...

People who are making jokes are not making jokes about him, they are making jokes about a dead gay bloke .. the people who are offended really need to get a life ... its not like anyone here knew him enough to insult his family ..
