The last time i used a bodyshop the manager even told me "boy that thing can shift"

I was like "WTF?"

It was the final reason i bought all the gear and started painting cars myself

My K1 went to a bodyshop the other day due to some old man running into the side of it, and as I went to collect the car they were telling me how the guy who worked on it came running into the office after driving it ranting and raving about how rapid it was. Everyone in the office seemed to be aware of the fact the leon is quick, even the women.

Made a complaint to the insurance company, but worst of all the dicks took it for a spin but seemed to miss the fact the tracking was still out

If they dont get it right this time I will name and shame

Hi, as far as I know, none of our customers have been prosecuted themselves although I have heard dozens of accounts of the system being used in evidence to support a none fault claim. That is what it is designed to do.

I'm guessing the majority of our customers who have this in their car are the drivers who remain within UK road law. We also know a lot of these cameras go out to parents of newly qualified drivers who are perhaps concerned where/how their car is being driven.

To answer your question, if you get caught doing something you shouldn't and the officer sees you have a filming system installed, he has the power to confiscate the camera/memory card and use it in evidence against you.

As I said above, as far as I know this hasn't happened to any Roadhawk customers but I have heard it happening more specifically to bikers who film their "journeys".

er - how did the bodyshop know it was rapid? is there a runway from their carpark to the shop?
i think i'd be asking how far he drove it and how fast

You can almost see my house in that vid! ...as for respecting a customers car, you'd also think they'd have a bit respect for that bit of road too ...the Portway junction (which is where they pull off) is where Mike Hailwood & his daughter died

Good garages will always road test a car after work has been carried out

That Roadhawk looks like a great bit of kit surprised the numpties driving didn't spot it though ...

Take out the memory card when your having a 'spirited' drive .

Or is it not as simple as that?

Looks a great bit of kit tho, would any insurance companies give a discount on this as a tracker? Could it be used for that function, i.e. set it up at night that any movement is recorded? Is there a limit to how long it will record data or is it purley based on the size of a memory card?

I have had mine for a week or so now. You can remove the memory card, its just in a small slot like any other device. There is no internal memory (that I know of!) Or you could just pull the ciggy lighter..

Dont even notice it now (behind the mirror). Took a few trips to get the settings how I wanted them, and now it just sits there.

S/W provided is very easy to use and makes it easy to watch videos back.

Now that this is back up, any comments from members who have actually fitted one of these in their car(s)?

Interesting to see also that the company is now making a new RH-2 model, that has front and rear facing cameras.

Had mine in for almost 12 months now. Been 100% reliable, even in -18c. I now have a 16gb card in mine, just leave it on all the time.

Captured a couple of incidents, thats what its there for I guess. Gives me a lot more confidence letting the mrs out on her own as I know if someone tries something on they are going to be on camera.
