Has to be the HKS Hi-power Silent for me.

I currently have the Blitz nur Spec R back box only. Had the car mapped by Bob Rawle and he said "you bought the loudest backbox but the worst for performance".

what did he recommend?...yep, the HKS Hi-power silent.

to vote surely you gotta have tested the lot! I´ve got the vortex and I love it. Decent 10bhp gain plus a wonderful range of sounds from the super growly tickover to the italian v8 on steriods at 6000, so put me down for the vortex.

I've got a full 3" bore Cobra system on my classic with a sports cat and 5" tail. Sounds awesome and looks nice too.

I have a Blitz Nur Spec R centre and angled tail too in the garage but not used it yet. Tried fitting the tail to the cobra mid section and the bolt holes didn't line up . Think it might be the case with the centre to downpipe holes too so havent tried. Has anyone heard the Cobra system compared with a Blitz?

A lot of systems are loud yes but, & this is only my opinion, most are what I would call "gobby" loud. Rather than deep bass goes right through you & makes your bones vibrate loud.

GOBBY COBRA sound clip

Then listen to the deeper note of the Blitz Nur Spec R & tell me the hairs on the back of your neck didn't twitch just a little bit.

BLITZ sound clip

I am totally biased though as I have a Blitz on my "not so" Stealthy Wagon.

I in no way dispute that the Cobra is loud, just not to my taste. Each to their own & all that.

Some comments for & some against the Cobra system in this thread from which the above is taken. https://www.scoobynet.com/scoobynet-...a-exhaust.html

Cheers, will take a look when i get home as havent got sound on the computer at work. So the Blitz is a smoother sound?

I love the angled exit look of the Blitz. I also want a bit of popping and crackling, how can this be acheived?

To be fair to the green Cobra car lol, it's only the back box! The silver Blitz car has a Perrin downpipe (and presumably the 'R's centre section too.)

There was actually another clip of the green car with a cat-back system (but presumably still no decat ownpipe) and it was much closer in volume and timbre to the Blitz car.

That said though, I have to concede, the Blitz does sound particulary rich and gorgeous lol...

I 2nd That as ive had a few different ones & RCM comes out on top with a nice deep not to noisy sound on tick over but once you open it up all hell breaks loose and it sounds mint.

Well, factoring in the £60 odd for your SUL, then lets say up to £190 lol Still an awesome price though, all in (the 'R' system is normally around £450 brand new, isn't it?)

The best exhaust IMO is the Revolution but my proirities seem to differ - I don't care what it looks or sounds like, I just need it to flow 500HP and be as quiet as possible.

I haven't found any better for my needs

I have a 2.5 sti with a Ninja II and de resonator pipe.
It sounds ok but to quiet for me and the burble is almost none exsistant.
What would be louder and release the burble without reducing bhp or build quality?

When i had my scooby it had the original pea shotter exhaust on ,changed that to an sti back box,a little bit louder, then got a mint prodrive backbox had that fitted and car sounded ok .I then had it decatted and the prodrive did not sound any louder.Met a mate of mine who had a P1 with blitz(sounded awesome)and another mate had a 3inch hks on his wrx(loud).
I then bought an afterburner vortex and it was so loud that i ordered the bung to quieten it down. At 1st was almost embarraced to drive it as people would look round a 100 yds before you got to them. But now i love it ,on a 2 hour drive to london ,put the bung in and it is no louder than a honda civic ,and no cabin drone at all.
Take the bung out and the noise is sweet on tickover and roars when you give it some( heaven probably sounds something like this - i hope)
