That’s shocking I hadn’t seen the thread.
I too have to make a big journey when I get a new car (from France) and would be furious if this happened to me.
Makes you think if he is that dishonest the car probably wasn’t what he said it was anyway so you might have got lucky on that
I hope he isn’t allowed to change his username on here as I very much doubt he will get much help from this forum anymore.

You should be able to leave negative feedback on his trading score as you did make a deal.

I can kinda see why the mods closed it as its become a personal financial dispute and could cross some legal lines so I guess the mods feel its best to step out of it at this stage.

Is this a small claims court issue now?
Trouble is you'll probably end up paying more to chase it legally than the actual amount you're owed. Its one of those loose loose situations... unless the seller does the honourable thing, but they seem to be traders and I doubt they'll part with money like that.

Its a shame, but in a way, maybe its better you were out of pocket a couple hundred quid than a few grand on what may of been a dodgey car?

Try and look on the positives... there's so many cars for sale at the mo and its a buyers market so you wont be waiting long b4 you get an even better one trust me mate - thats what happened to me

Start up a complaints thread for mods to comment. I'm sure you'll get a lot of support if you link to it here.

TX.

PS

I rang D&M to discuss their car & was put off (thankfully) cos they had nothing to say about the car ie virtual silence when I called! Did not sound like enthusiasts at all

What is it with this site ? The mods will come on and lock a thread but will do nothing about people constantly getting scammed

Scoobynet is getting a very bad reputation for this kind of thing and I would have thought the mods/owners of this site would want to do something about that !

Know what you mean mate, i considered this Type r they were selling as an option, and me and Daz spoke on phone, there was clearly no one at home when i was asking him questions, either he did not know or tried to blagg his answers, so so glad i had nothing to do with them.
I spoke to young TurboDean with who i px'd my Type R with, who was willing to go and have a look for me as he only lived 20 mins away, glad he did'nt.
Daz & Minty are not like normal Welsh folk, who are really trust worthy and honest in all my dealings. Shame on these turds!!

They do sound like dodgey dealers... they probably used to trade in old bangers and thought they could take advantage of the scooby community and make more money buying cheap scooby sheds which need major work or have under lying problems and tryin to make a quick buck out of them...

Its a real shame that there are such people out there.
