Tsk ! The only bit I'm qualified to do....

TBH with the sort of bill for that lot, I'd expect it to rev to that, it's us ordinary folk that would have to "make do" with a std. 2.5....

Would be nice to see it in action

The newage at the moment will mainly a road car with some trackdays and drag runs and as for the classic not really decided but may well end up as full on track car.

Feels awesome on the road Peter, the long ratios combined with the power make for a relentless pull that never seems to end.

Colin I could not stop smiling when the dyno operator put the flywheel graph

Mark at Lateral Performance for supplying the parts to complete the project, without your know how and help we would have never made it this far

Duncan (race dynamix) for going above and beyond the call of duty to get the car running and on the road when all hope seemed lost

Pat for making such an awesome ecu in the Solaris and the final map, the car drives beautifully on and off boost

Finally Scoobyclinic for their hospitality, customer service and for a fun day out. Special shout to Kev, Adam and JB see you soon lads for the next round of tweaks

And the result of all this hardwork you ask.......

Banny

Thanks mate!!!

i must say that the car is stunning its has a good sort of lag that aloows you to pootle about in a relaxed way but stir the box up and the world goes backwards.......

defo one of the best cars i have road tested with pat over the years

top stuff

Cheers JB

looking at the graphs, this may be a good top end figure but it seems to be very laggy.i think if you had to go up against a well set up car that was only running say 450,500 bhp that they would be away before you were even on boost.why do you think there is so much lag, could it be down to the heads being ported out so far that it has affected spool up.also why was it run up in 3rd gear on the dyno as opposed to the usual 4th gear.

on the strip the 620bhp all day long due to top end grunt, on the road the 500 scooby might get the jump but it only be a matter of seconds before the 620 goes flying past.

what you should be saying is well done banny and everyone that helped put the project together..... a little positive encouragement wouldnt hurt to a fellow scoobynetter.if you count how many 600bhp members there is on snet you could count them all on one hand

Unless the driver of the 620bhp car is asleep, or given a time penalty before he's allowed to floor it, why would the 450-500bhp car be quicker ?

If your assumption was true, then the 450-500bhp car would be really laggy against a 300-350bhp car, who would be off before it was on boost.............

Or, stick with a standard car, because that would be quicker still

i also agree 100% and surley that would only the case setting off in first gear for a nano second.

i think it's called bhp envy ! always the way when someone comes along with a better toy.

sure we will see the difference running that power against a 450bhp car when banny gets it on the strip.
