Yes the bumper has to be cut and I am not aware of any reasonably priced FMIC system for either Classic or New Age that works efficiently that does not need the bumper cut.
Cutting the bumper may sound daunting at first but in reality it is quite straight forward and many people on here that have fitted their own will be able to confirm this and share their knowledge.
If we supply you with a front mount we will also give you our workshop phone number and you can speak to the fitter who has an incredibe knowledge from fitting these regularly and he can talk you through the fitting process and the tricks and techniques to get it right first time.

The kit for the 2006 car is different to the 01-05 and I am awaiting the first pre-release kits for trial fit/assembly just as we did with the GT2.
I expect to have firm information in the course of the next week.

presumably the standard air filter on a classic will need to be changed to fit any front mount cooler?

You lose the airbox because the pipework goes through the air box area.
Anyone with an existing cone filter will not need an alteration normally.
Depending on the turbo and power there are a few choices for induction starting with a K+N 57i kit going up to a Roger Clark 700 bhp plus induction kit which I can supply.
The GDB kit comes with a cold air system and I can supply one of several filters for that.

I think you mean a 99UK? Yes not a problem and when this started I said I would hold prices until 31 December but I am sure there is a degree of flexibility in that if I have a firm commitment in advance.

I don't see it being on sale until the Spring. I have noticed new things always take longer than originally intended.

Hello there Harvey, wouldn't mind a price for a GT2 for my MY96 STi import.

It's a pre-facelift front end, with a V3 facelift engine not sure if that makes a difference?

If you could PM me a price for one that would be great.

Regards

Jamie

The GT2 kit is £290 and overnight delivery £12.50. Paypal the money today or tomorrow morning and you get it Wednesday.
The difference between the 05 and 06 kits is the pipework but I can't tell you in detail because I don't know until I actually receive one of these for testing.

Received. Please come back when you know what you are doing but don't fit an FMIC if your car is NOT going to be mapped for it. Too risky mate.
I would rather cancel your workshop appointment and give you your deposit back than have you getting it fitted, then booting it and killing it.

Recieved with Thanks....incredibly quick delivery and superb communication....Great product and service i must say.

Just checked the GT2 over and i'm quite surprised how shiny these things are.....The pipes are also polished and very bling....

Because the FMIC kits are made out of aluminium they will tarnish with the weather and particularly with road salt at this time of year so it is worth applyling WD-40 or similar with a damp rag and wiping over from time to time. The two sections of pipe exposed to road spray in to and out of the actual core can be protected with stone chip paint. This is on a section that is never seen unless you have the car in the air but it effectively prevents any corrosion in the most exposed areas.
